WuAi woke up with sweat running down her back. She had a nightmare of being chased, but couldn't see who it was. She looked around the dark room first. She remembered that she was about to drink the blood carton, and then... that was it. How did she get here? She looked around. This was the room she had woken up in the day before. There was no clock in the room and she could only look outside to see that it was dark outside as well.
Good morning Hong84.
System55566688833: Good morning host.
Now that I'm still alive, is the story going to change a lot?
System55566688833: Replying host... [configuring equation] no. It will still be similar.
Oh good. Where is the male lead now?
System55566688833: He's on the 3rd floor.
Doing what?
System55566688833: ...Torture.
But when WuAi left her room, she didn't hear any screaming.
System55566688833: Soundproof room.
Whatever, it's not my business.
WuAi continued downstairs for breakfast at 6pm. There wasn't a fresh source of blood around her to seduce her into drinking, so she drank the blood carton while watching the sun set.
A couple minutes later the male lead came in. He ruffled his hair while going into the kitchen and she thought that, of course. The male lead would look good doing anything.
He didn't seem to notice her, so she stood next to him and waited until he noticed. He was preoccupied with making coffee and then proceeded to head up to his office with her trailing behind him. He sat down at his desk and finally WuAi couldn't take being ignored even though she was so blatantly in front of him. "Good morning."
He looked at her in shock. WuAi's body was standing straight, but her neck was bent at a 90 degree angle and her hair was falling over her face. He coughed, keeping a straight face, "Good morning." Then he ignored her.
WuAi didn't know what to do. She checked the books. History of Vampires... Vampire Powers and How to Fight Back... Things to Look out for: Vampires... Nightly Mass Destruction... Vampire 101...
Not interesting.... and then WuAi slumped back onto the sofa with a plop.
Wait a second... My job. She shot straight up, "Hey hey hey. Mal--Excuse me." He grunted in response, "I have a job you know. Can I go back?" WuAi tried to give her best puppy eyes to the male lead.
Her eyes sparkled brown and blue from the remaining sunset. He seemed to have stiffened, it seemed that he forgot that she used to be a human, and wasn't a full bred vampire. He mused, work...
Only full bred vampires could barely step out into the sunlight, and even though the girl who bit WuAi was a full bred, that didn't mean WuAi could do the same thing.
He looked at her, as if laughing at her, "No."
"Whaaaaaaat? Why?" WuAi twisted her body around like a noodle, trying to act cute, "Mm? How about just a month for me to settle things? Pweeeaasseeee~~"
His lips had turned into a straight line at her shenanigans, "No."
It seemed that today, all he could say was 'no'. "How about 3 weeks?"
"No."
"2 weeks?"
"No."
WuAi went around the desk to grab his shoulder to make him look at her and tried to shake him. He was too strong, so she ended up being shaken. She started wailing, "What about my coworkers? They probably think I'm dead! Or even worse, kidnapped and are looking for me! There are so many cases that I left open too. I need to go back to solve them~~!"
This was true, when he left, he didn't put any dead replacement bodies like he should have. "1 week--"
"Yes!" She gave him a quick hug and then busted out of the office. She didn't want him to change his mind.
Back at the office, the male lead looked at his hands that was about to wrap around her waist. He hadn't even finished his sentence. He stifled a sigh then proceeded to her room.
Without knocking on the door, he entered to see her sprawled on her stomach over the bed, "WuAi."
"Mmm?" If WuAi could read his mind, she was wondering if his goal for today was to give her directions using only 2 words at a time. Why was he suddenly less talkative today?
"Next week."
...He really did say only 2 words, and she actually understood, "I can only go back next week?" He nodded, "Why?"
"Stabilize sleep."
"I need to change my sleeping time?" He nodded again. Fuck me, what is this weird understanding of him.
"And testing."
"The sunlight?" WuAi decided she was also going to try speaking with only 2 words at a time. The male lead was able to see a mischievous glint in her eyes and chuckled to himself. Cute.
Just as the male lead was leaving, WuAi just had to ask, "Your name?"
"DuanZhan. Hungry?"
WuAi eagerly followed him downstairs. DuanZhan had vaguely heard the doorbell ring before, so he went to get the door. Today, the blood donor he had requested had come. WuAi tried to stick her head out from behind his back, but he blocked her, "Stay here." Then he led the other man up to the 3rd floor. She watched as their backs disappeared into a room, and then DuanZhan came back out shortly after.
She looked at him expectantly, "Hmm?"
"Blood donor," He could almost see a dog tail coming out of her, "Not yours."
She shrugged and went to the kitchen. She couldn't remember what happened last night, but she had a vague idea that it was centered around this blood carton. So she quickly grabbed the carton and ran to her room.
Afterwards she continued to spend time with the male lead in the office and once it was time to eat, she'd run out and back. This happened for the next following days until another man came to the door. It had been so long since she last saw another person besides the male lead.
System55566688833: It's only been a couple days....
But it was ignored.
