XiaoPeng was combing through WuAi's silver hair for the 99th time. "There aren't any more tangles XiaoPeng, just let me go now." WuAi was exasperated with XiaoPeng's obsession with her hair.
XiaoPeng didn't feel the need to explain to her why. She hmmph-ed in reply and finally pulled her hair into a pony tail. Only people from WuAi's family would have silver hair! It was precious! She put the red hair tie in and watched the silver hair slowly drape back down onto WuAi's back. It glimmered lustrously in the lighting.
"Ok, time to change. Go go go, where's your dress?" WuAi tried to shoo away XiaoPeng.
"You want to see it?" XiaoPeng smirked at her, "It matches you too." And she soon pulled out a white dress with red accents along the edge.
Once XiaoPeng put it on, WuAi could only marvel at her. She looked so innocent, but once she opened her mouth, the image quickly disappeared.
"Stop being so mean," XiaoPeng smacked WuAi's back.
WuAi smacked her back, "That hurt!"
XiaoPeng smacked her back a couple more times, and WuAi pretended to wince in return. XiaoPeng ridiculed WuAi with her eyes, said, "Lies," and then she walked out. She could hear WuAi laughing behind her.
Not long after changing into their student formal military uniform, they arrived at the gala. The doors opened up to a 2-story opened library. The books were lined by height on the sides of the room, and 2 stairs in the middle of the room led up to the 2nd floor. A large chandelier dangled at the center of the building. They had opened the Professor's library just for this elegant evening. As the professors walked around and congratulated the students.
XiaoPeng quickly saw her friend group near one of the stairs. She excitedly dragged WuAi over to say their hello's.
XiaoPeng was like a star, she attracted everyone's attention and was the beautiful flower of the class. Whereas WuAi was like the moon, attractive, yet cold. They were called the Yin-Yang duo, because they balanced each other out well and were never separate.
WuAi quickly said her hello's before she dislodged herself from XiaoPeng's grip. XiaoPeng quickly looked at her, mouthed food and then returned to the conversation.
XiaoPeng had been starving her when she wouldn't allow WuAi to get food while her hair was being combed through. Plus, WuAi wasn't very close friends with XiaoPeng's friends. They were more just acquaintances. Classmates was a better term. WuAi quickly grabbed 2 plates and filled them up with appetizers.
"WuAi." A deep voice called her name.
She turned around to face the caller. It was XiaoPeng's twin brother, ZuiTianZhen. She glanced up at his dark eyes and just recently cut wavy black hair. The twins looked just like each other except they were of different sex, and the brother was much taller.
"The valedictorian of the grade! ZuiTianZhen."
He could only smile helplessly at her, "I only am, because you were unwilling to write a speech."
She laughed at him, "I don't know what you're saying."
From when the twins first met her, she always gave way to 1st place and took 2nd place instead. But he, his sister and WuAi's family knew that she had all the capabilities of an Alpha. But since she was a Beta... He sighed.
WuAi seemed to know what he was thinking and just gently smiled at him, "Let's go find your sister."
They found his sister out in the garden making out with a fellow Alpha. Growling at each other for dominance.
WuAi immediately took a U-turn and dragged XiaoTian away to sit down far far away. She knew of XiaoPeng's sexual conquests, but that didn't mean that she wanted to see them. While WuAi sat down eating her meal, she thought back to what she saw of the guy with XiaoPeng.
He had silver hair. There weren't a lot of people with silver hair. In fact, she was the oldest of her generation, then her younger brother was smaller than her by a year, and then her cousins were all still in middle school. But his school was far away. But then today was a Friday.
She immediately let go of her pastry and ran back out to the garden. But all she could find was a dazed, dressed XiaoPeng.
"Please don't tell me what I think it is." WuAi said.
XiaoPeng slowly raised her eyes to stare at WuAi's. The distance between them seemed so far away, even though they were only meters apart.
"I..." XiaoPeng was also baffled. It just happened so suddenly, "I... did it."
WuAi threw her hands up exasperatedly. She broke the sister's honor code! "We don't touch each other's siblings! You knew that!"
"No, I mean, he-- I--" XiaoPeng couldn't think of any excuse.
WuAi kneeled down to grab her by the shoulder and shook her hard until she was tired. She also plopped down onto the ground next to XiaoPeng. "Explain."
XiaoPeng peaked at WuAI, "The thing is..." WuAi gestured her to continue, "I've always had a crush on your brother. He came to me today, to confess his feelings..." WuAi now couldn't wait to go back home to berate her younger brother. He also knew of the sister's honor code! "I told him, if I feel anything from his kiss, then I'll accept." XiaoPeng quickly grabbed WuAi's hand's to stop her from slapping her back, "You know that I say this to any boy who confesses! It just slipped out of my mouth so naturally, and then..."
WuAi struggled to free one hand, and then she immediately slapped XiaoPeng's thighs. XiaoPeng could only pout at her with teary eyes, "If you like my brother, then hurry up and say it! If you treat him badly, I will come for you! I'll release everything about you to the press!"
XiaoPeng could only cry happily in response, "I like him! I like! I won't treat him badly." She then hugged WuAi.
"You better not mess around then anymore." WuAi warned her.
XiaoPeng quickly nodded her head, "Of course, of course, sister-in-law is always correct."
WuAi immediately let go of the hug and pulled on XiaoPeng's chipmunk cheeks, "Sister-in-law?" XiaoPeng cheekily smiled in response. WuAi could only sigh at her in response.
From afar they spotted XiaoTian walking over. He glanced at the 2 girls to make sure they weren't in a scuffle and handed over handkerchiefs for them to dust themselves off.
Now that she thought of it, he didn't seem too surprised that his sister was making out with someone with silver hair. She also pulled on his cheeks before grumpily walking back into the library. He sighed helplessly in her direction.
After WuAi calmed down, she still returned to the dorms with the twins. After all, she wasn't that pissed, just a little angry that she was left out until she had to find out herself.
They quickly changed into their outfits for the party.
