Chapter 9

My head began to ache as I took in all the information, "So they're like your soul mate?"

Am nodded as she placed another batch of cupcakes in the oven, "Pretty much. You'll know if someone's you're mate. You'll get all tingly when they're near and when you touch you're arm will feel like it's on fire, but in a pleasurable way and then-"

"How do you know all that stuff?" I interjected.

Am rolled her eyes, "Because I have my mate, silly. He's out with yours right now, they should be back any second."

I froze, "Any second?"

Am nodded and began to lick the icing of her spoon, "Mhm. Why?"

"Chase told me to stay in that guest room."

Am's eyes widened, "You better hurry! Chase is very scary when he's angry."

I took off up the stairs and blindly tried to find the room Chase had put me in, I tripped a few times in the dark hallway but found the room.

Placing myself on the window sill I tried to make it look like I've been here at all times.

My heart began to race as I caught sight of Chase walking out of the woods. His shirt was off, showing me every single detail of his muscles. His long legs were covered in dark jeans as his feet were left bare. The sight made me swoon.

Walking next to him was another tall man, his hair was blonde, his eyes so blue you could tell from up in the 3rd floor. The blonde one shoved Chase and took off towards the house. Chases mouth curled up on a snarl then he smiled, running after the blonde.

I heard the front door down downstairs slam open as the shuffling of feet ran up the stairs. Next thing I hear is my own door opening with a loud bang, nearly making me fall from the window seat.

The blonde one came in first, fall belly first on the ground, Chase ran in after him with a devilish grin on his face. The blonde one groaned, "How come you always win?"

Chase shrugged, "Cause I'm Alpha."

The blonde one growled, "Alpha this Alpha that. Congrats Alpha Jackass."

Chase grabbed a hold of the blonde ones leg-

"Chase?" I whispered.

Chase instantly dropped he blonde ones leg and finally looked at me. He gave me a breath taking smile as the blonde man stood to his feet.

"Sorry. Luke wanted to meet you but I told him no, so he ran up here." Chase apologized.

I giggled as Luke outstretched his hand, "Nice to meet you, Luna."

I gave him a confused look as Chase elbowed him in the stomach, "Uh-sorry. Annora." Like bowed his head and headed toward the door, "I'm gonna go see Am now."

Luke left the room. Leaving Chase and I alone.

Chase stared at me and slowly walked towards me. He cupped my cheek and began stroking it with his thumb, "You look beautiful."

I blushed as I leaned into his hand, "I've looked like this all day."

Chase smiled, "Yeah, but you haven't sat in front of the window yet."

Chase stroked his finger over my mouth as he looked at me. My eyes instinctively looked down at his full lips. What Am told me finally started to make sense to me. His touch sent fuzzy tingles throughout my body. Making me earn his touch.

My fingers trailed up to his face and hooked onto the back of his neck, pulling him closer. Our lips connected then, I moaned at the pleasurable tingles.

His lips hungrily kissed mine as his other hand caught a hold of my waist, his kiss deepened as my fingers gripped his bicep.

Our lips moved in sync, driving me crazy. I couldn't get enough of him.

Chase but my lip causing me to gasp. He took the advantage and slipped his tongue in, playing with my own.

I moaned and leaned into him, my fingers now trailing over his bare chest. I blushed then as I realized our position and the intimacy of the moment. I pulled back, "Chase."

Chase didn't stop, he began trailing his hot kisses down my neck and onto my collarbone where he but down gently.

"Chase." I gasped, and grabbed a hold of his shoulders, pushing him back a little.

Chase groaned and opened his grey eyes, looking into my brown ones.

I blushed, "We can't. I hardly know you."

Even though I hated to stop I knew we had to. I barley knew him and I still was yet to know why I was in his home. I needed to collect my thoughts.

Chase nodded and kissed my forehead, he stood to his feet, "I understand. My sister's making dinner down stairs. Dinner will be ready any minute, come down when you like."

Chase grabbed my hand and kissed my fingers, leaving with a wink.

I fell back onto my bed and grabbed my searing heart and smiled.
