Ussicore looked up at me with a haunting expression that will forever be lodged in my memory. With one last smirk his body turned to ash and blew away in the midnight breeze. The war below was completely silent. A second later loud cheers from werewolves, vampires, and warriors erupted in cheers-no doubt leading to a celebration.

I looked over at Chase and dropped my sword, soon after dropping to my own knees. My worst nightmare was gone-I had fulfilled my destiny.

"Chase." I whimpered.

Chase was in front of me in the blink of an eye embracing me. He fell to his own knees as he wrapped his strong, comforting arms around me. I sobbed into his shoulder as he rubbed my back and whispered in my ear, "You did it."

I looked up at Zachariah who bowed and turned on his heal, disappearing from the hill and joining the other warriors.

Chase kissed the side of my head, "You did it, Annora. You ended a bunch of people's worst nightmares."

I but back a sob and cuddled my head into his neck, "Then why don't I feel good?"

Chase took a deep breath and didn't answer for a while, "Maybe you need closure."

Chase tried pulling away from our embracing causing me to mumble a 'no' and pull him closer to me.

Chase lifted me up, me still present in his arms and looked over the cliff down at the celebration. Men were carrying wounded men back to the pack doctor, both laughing and knocking fist. It was almost comical, until you saw the fallen soldiers.

I looked back at the place where Ussicore had faded. A black hole, it seemed, was right where he took his last breath. It looked as if you took a step over it you'd be sucked in a pulled into his soul, damned for life.

Chase turned, and began carrying me down the hill. He stopped when we were only feet away from the warriors. Chase sat me down and held my shoulders, stand proud for what you did, you saved many good souls tonight. The pack is looking up for their own closure at their Luna. They need to know that you are proud and have no doubts."

I nodded my head and took a deep breath as Chase wiped away my last tear.

I turned to the men and raised my sword in the air.

The soldiers erupted in applause and cheers. Changing for their revived life and safety.

"Ussicore is dead," I yelled to the crowd, "And we shall rejoice in triumph."

I turned back to Chase who was watching with an unreadable expression. I smiled at him, dropping the bloodied sword at my feet.

The evil was gone from the world, for now and the fighters took that as an opportunity to party. Werewolves, vampires, warriors, and warlocks gathered in the pack house living room, sharing drinks and jokes.

Chase had a tight grip on my hand as we descended the stairs.

My hair was pulled up in a styled updo, along with my long red dress clingy to my body-it added to the dramatic theme.

Chase kissed my cheek as we separated, me being taken away by the excited crowd and him being taken away by Am and Luke. Hunter was already tucked in for the night- I told myself I would visit him before I went to sleep.

"How does it feel, Luna?" A teenage werewolf asked, "To be the most praised girl in the world."

I looked at him for a bit- debating on my answer. I finally gave a soft smile, "I only did it for all of you-I take no praise."

The crowd erupted in hollers once again, causing me to wince. Chase and I's bedroom felt really nice right now.

I searched the crowd for my mate, finding him in a corner in a deep conversation with Luke. His eyes never left mine as I spotted him and headed towards him.

He reached his arm out as I approached closer and brought me to his chest, tucking my head underneath his chin. Luke gave me a small smile of recognition and nodded at Chase, telling him bye. I watched Luke as he grabbed Am's hand and smiled down at her. Am rubbed her growing bump and gave him a kiss.

I looked up to Chase who was watching them also, an unreadable expression on his face.

"Can we go to upstairs?" I asked Chase.

He nodded and grabbed my hand, leading me up the stairs. I brought him to Hunter's rooms.

"I'm just going in to check on him."

Chase nodded and kissed my forehead, "Take your time. I'm going to go make us a bath."

I watched him until he disappeared behind the long hallway.

I slowly opened Hunter's door, careful to wake him. I left the door slightly open and walked to his bed side, kneeling down and grabbing a hold of his hand, "I only wish for good things to come to you, Hunty."

I watched him as his chest rose up and down, his face twitching every so often. I watched him like he was my own child and this would be my last night to hold him. I brushed a piece of his curly hair off his forehead and leaned in to kiss it. Giving him one last glance before I shut the door.

I could hear the water running from our anointing bathroom. Butterflies flew in my stomach as I approached the slightly opened bathroom door.

Chase was standing above the tub, adjusting the knobs without a shirt. His back muscles moved as he reached out for the bubble bath soap.

I slid my dress straps off my shoulder and let my heavy dress fall to the ground. Chase turned at the noise and squeezed the bottle so hard that it snapped in half.

I giggled as I walked up to him, pacing my hands along the waist band of his jeans.

"I'm so glad this is all over." I mumbled as I undid his pants for him.

I laughed aloud as Chase struggled out of his jeans and picked me up from the ground, placing me in the hot bath water. He climbed in after me and connected his lips with mine, "So happy."
