The chapter you've all been waiting for...godere(enjoy)

"Mom," I whined, stomping my foot, "Why can't I hit the middle?"

My mother grabbed my right hand and spreaded my fingers out, placing it back between the arrow, "Try it now."

I released it, watching as it flew through the air...and landed in the grass. I breathed through my nose loudly and dropped my hands, the bow hitting my hip. I turned to my mom annoyed.

"Just breath and relax. Watch your target, study your targets movements then release," she lifted my hands back, spreading my fingers she aimed the arrow at the bag with a circle drawn in the middle, "Do you see how the bag is slouched because of the hole it's in?"

I nodded my head.

"Now watch the wind, it's moving in your favor. Shoot up high and pull your bow back longer. The wind will slow it down and cause it to shoot straight down."

My mother stepped away from me and crossed her arms, studying my movements. I aimed up high and pulled the now back longer than I had been doing. I shot the arrow, it landing perfectly in the middle.

The arrow soared throw the air. Twisting and turning so that whom ever it hit, if anyone, would cause them a lot of pain. The arrow flew across the black sky in slow motion, adding to my nervousness. I had never shot at a being before-only bags and bottles. I had never been one for hunting.

The demon screeched as my arrow plunged in its chest, causing a sickening pop. I took off running, away from the first being I had killed and ran to the top of the hill towards the lone angel who was watching the war play out.

Multiple claws reached out to me, clawing at my suit of armor. I had once read that a demon scratch alone could kill you, if deep enough, I just hoped my mothers suit was strong enough for it.

I swung my sword at multiple hands and faces, not watching as my sword connected with both. As I ran I noticed that more and more werewolves were getting injured or dying. Each time I saw a demon going in for the kill I shot my arrow, nailing it each time. As my duty of Luna, I knew that giving werewolves just a second of time would heal them enough to where they could stand up and go find help, or continue fighting.

I tucked my now on my back and latched the sword to its place on my hip. As I ran the path up to the apex of the hill I saw no sign of any creatures. Birds didn't stay long, flying from there place as they heard my feet pounding up the path.

Something grabbed the back of my leg and yanked, causing my to hit the ground face first. I cried out from the pain and grabbed the bow from my back, I aimed it down at the creature who had my leg. I gasped as I saw the creature, "Did you miss me, Guerriero?"

I lashed out, my boot connecting with his face, "Only in your dreams."

He hissed as he grabbed his now bruised face. I took the opportunity to get up and continue running to the top. Ussicore followed me.

"Make him come to you."

"You can't hide from me, Annora." Ussicore taunted, "Haven't I told you this once before?"

I winced as his long claws scratched my calves. My hands touched the ground without me falling, the angle of the hill was getting more dangerous. I grabbed ahold of rocks and chunked them behind me, doing a silent cheer when I heard him hiss from pain.

I scrambled up, trying to keep my balance as I tried getting farther up and on level ground. I tripped over a rock and stumbled onto the ground. My hand dipped into a pool of water, cooling my hand. Ussicore grabbed the my back and turned me around, to where I was lying on my back.

He stared down at me with triumph, like he had just saved his princess. I kicked out at him, using his distraction for my benefit.

His body hunched over, blending in perfectly with the dark night.

I scooted back and sat up on my bottom, trying to catch my breath from the run up the hill. Surrounding Ussicore and I was a lake, the surface shimmering from the stars. It looked beautiful, if it wasn't for the circumstance I was currently in.

I stood to my feet after I noticed Ussicore had disappeared. I turned in a complete circle, searching my surroundings.

"Show yourself!" I screamed out into the night.

A rustle came from across the lake and I quickly turned towards the noise. No one was there.

"Show yourself you coward!" I screamed again. Tears streaming down my face from fear and frustration.

"I'd watch what you call people, it can set them off." A scratchy voice whispered in my ear.

I turned sharply, swinging my sword out. It collided with the tree right behind me.

Ussicore was standing right beside me now.

He hissed loudly beside me and wrapped his long, bony fingers around my neck.

I scratched at his wrist as he began lifting me up. I gasped for air and kicked out blindly. My vision became blurry and Ussicore face became distant and mis-shaped.

The last thing I heard before I passed out was my name being yelled.
