I looked at them both incredulously, "That's not me. That's the warrior my mom told me about, remember Chase. I told you about her."
Chase nodded his head and began flipping pages, "I remember, but your mom never really said when this story, or girl existed. She might not even be born yet."
I looked up at him confused, "What do you mean?"
Lola grabbed the book from Chase, "It means, darling, that this story is yet to happen. It's more of someones destiny and a legend that's to come true."
I covered my mouth with my shaky hands, "So...you're saying...this could be me in a few years?" I ran a hand through my hair and threw my hands up, "I don't even own clothing like that!"
Lola snickered and shrugged her shoulders, "Not my problem, dear."
I let out a loud huff and crossed my arms, "Chase! Does she have to be here?"
Chase rolled his eyes and wrapped his hands around my waist, where he lent into me, his face mere inches from mine. The look in his eyes alone told me I needed to calm down. I huffed and placed my head on his chest, "I don't understand." I whimpered.
Chase kissed my forehead, "We'll figure it out. But, in order to do that we need help. Lola's help, and many others. You won't go through this alone."
"Oh dear!" Came Lola's voice a little farther away. I lifted my head to see her standing in front of a wooden door that hand red and brown carvings, "What could be in here?" She grabbed the handle and began jerking. After a while of no success she blew out a breath, causing her gray hair to fly up, "Hey werewolf boy, mind giving me a strong hand?"
Chase let go of me and gave me one last kiss before he headed over to Lola, he began jerking on the door, yet nothing happened.
I was about to step and say it didn't matter until I heard a creak; it was coming from the stairs that led down to the cellar. I hurriedly skidded over to Chase's side to tell him but stopped when I could no longer hear it. This is an old house.
I turned to look at the door and got a sudden deja vu feeling. The door looked oddly familiar but I couldn't put the pieces together. I held onto Chase's hand as we stood there inspecting the door, as if it would fly open.
"Woah! Is that the door to Narnia?"
I screamed at the sound of the voice, causing Chase to push me back against the door with a protective arm over me as he turned around.
"Luke!" Chase yelled.
Luke's sheepish face appeared on the stairs. I loosened my grip on Chase at the sight of him.
"Sorry man. I didn't mean to scare you, Luna. My apologies." Luke grinned at me, he was obviously giddy about the thought of scaring someone. I smiled at his child-ness.
"It's fine," I said, stepping out from behind Chase, "How'd you know where we were?"
Luke looked at Chase and shrugged his shoulders, "Ask him."
I looked up at Chase with an eyebrow raised, "I called him before we left and told him to come over once he was awake to help out," he then looked over at Luke, "Which I expected to be earlier, but I forgot you sleep until noon every weekend."
Luke merely shrugged his shoulders and greeted Lola, "Ms. Vagabondo; lovely day?"
Lola turned her shoulder on him and huffed, she must have gotten scared to at his sudden appearance.
Luke clapped his hands together loudly, "So, we going to Narnia?" Luke gestured towards the wooden door.
Chase gave him a dumb look, "No. If you want to go to Narnia have Aminti read you the story while you go to bed."
