I struggled against the cuffs that were tying me to the cold metal table. I felt like I was in a horror movie. The walls were rotting, it smelt like blood, and I was being strained down-as if someone was about to inject me with poison. A mouse crawled in the corner of the room, it was also trying to find a way out.
After the man found me at Reeds house he had knocked me out, engulfed me in his shadow and brought me back here. It felt as if I was back in the cellar underground in the woods. Maybe it was the same place? Would Chase ever think to come check the same place?
Of course he would. A voice told me. My conscience still had hope...too bad I didn't.
After staying locked up in a cellar for a day without food or warmth it begins to make you think. Wouldn't it just be easier if I gave myself up to save Chase? It sounded more reasonable now, but that same part of my mind told me Chase was still alive...and is seeking.
The metal door creaked open at the front of the cellar. I lifted up my head-the only thing that wasn't strapped down-and looked at the intruder.
It was him.
I struggled against the cuffs again and screamed and screamed and screamed. I kicked my feet and let out a frustrated groan as the cuffs seemed to tighten around my ankles. He walked to my side and hissed, showing me a full mouth of pointy fangs. He grabbed onto face and squeezed my cheeks together, causing me to groan at the pain it brought to my jaw. He chuckled and violently threw my head back against the table. My vision became dark for a second and a migraine began to start in my head.
"I suggest you don't struggle." He said, trailing a long fingernail down my arm, "You will cause more harm to yourself."
I moved my arm from under his finger and gave him a disgusted noise, "I'm already going crazy, might as well add to the image."
He threw out a long, cloak covered arm and slapped me across my cheek with his palm. My face jerked to the side and I let out a moan. The pain was too unbearable, especially when you had no energy.
He laughed again and grabbed ahold of his cloak, I gasped when I realized that he was going to show me his face. Drawing back his hood I nearly screamed as I saw his face for the first time.
His eyes were a glowing red and his mouth had jagged scars across his lips, he was bald and had tattoos marking up the back of his bare head, reached all the way to his hair line. His eye sockets were deep and his eyebrows were bleached a white as his skin was a pinkish color, as if he just got out of a steaming hot shower.
"I have that affect on people," he spoke as he watched me with his beady eyes, "They usually don't last this long though, their usually dead of a heart attack."
I sucked in a breath, oh I felt like I was gonna have an attack. My heart was pounding furiously inside my chest and my body had gone limp at the sight of him, his face looked as though he was torn apart and stitched back together. It was almost beautiful.
"You're beautiful." I whispered as my eyes searched his face.
His face remained blank at my compliment as he kneeled down next to me, his head coming level with my own, "As are you." He whispered back as his long, snake like tongue escaped his mouth and licked the side of my face.
I screamed out in disgust and turned my head the opposite way. This made him even more angry as he stood again.
"Where am I?" I sobbed as I closed my eyes, blocking my view of him.
The man chuckled, "Back with me. The person you belong with."
"I don't belong to anyone." I spat out.
The mans eyebrows scrunched together, "Oh really? But...I do remember you crying out your mates name. Chase! Chase!" I cringed as is voice rose higher in impersonation, "He can't hear you down here. He'll never find you now."
I tear escaped my eye as I thought of Chase. His warm smile and reassuring hands. I longed to be touched by him and be told everything would be alright, "Let me go." I cried, "Why am I here?"
The man slammed his fist on the metal near my head, he pushed himself onto me and touched his nose with mine. I turned my head in order to get away from his smelly breath. The man gripped my chin, bringing my face back to him, "You're mine. You always will be. You and I will rule the world together, our love dangerously sexy."
I gagged at the thought.
"Don't believe me? Let me change your mind."
I screamed out as he began to lean closer.
A sudden bang interrupted him, he growled and turned his head towards the door. A man that looked similar to him stood at the door, his hands crossed behind his back, "We've ran into trouble."
The man beside me growled and released his grip on me, he stalked towards the man and brought him out into the hallway where they spoke in hushed whispers.
A sudden feeling of déjà vu hit me and I felt sick to my stomach. I had a dream of this once, it terrified me, and the nightmare is coming true now.
I tear escaped my eye as I recalled the memory, I had woken up and called out Chases name. He had comforted me in a time I most needed him. And even though this nightmare was playing out now I found myself holding onto a piece of hope: Chase was out there. And he would wake me from the nightmare.
The man appeared beside me once again, his face was stone hard and he held no expression. A prick came to my arm as I heard him mumble, "That Alpha of yours is good."
I smiled weakly as I fell into a state of content. Drowning into my own shadows.
