Trey ended up taking me to his bedroom and told me he would be back as soon as the sun was up. Until then, he would be helping the pack with anything they needed assistance with. I agreed and he walked off.
I knew he wanted to have some alone time with me, but he was holding himself back, and probably waiting until he turned back to a human.
But it was a good thing he left me on my own. That way, I could think.
Trey was a werewolf, so he would be immortal. And I was human, mortal. The baby was a Halfling, but I didn't know whether it would be able to live longer than a normal human life span. It would be nice if it was immortal like Trey. That way, Trey could have company even after I was gone.
I sighed and lay on my bed. My eyes began to droop, and I hadn't even noticed that my body was exhausted from all the panic. But now that there was peace and quiet, I could fall asleep and let my body rest. I knew that it was almost dawn, meaning Trey would be back, but I couldn't stop it when my eyes closed and stayed shut.

The next I woke, the sun was setting. Immediately, I moved to sit up, but firm arms held me down. I looked at who it was and saw Trey with his eyes still closed. Again, I looked outside and saw that the sky was painted orange, making me curious as to how long I fell asleep.
"Finally awake?" Trey's throaty voice asked.
I laid back down and stared up into his face. Slowly, his eyes opened, and he looked normal once more. He was human.
"How're the packs?" I asked, stretching my legs.
"They're...still shocked. Hell, we're all still shocked."
I nodded my head in agreement. The witch didn't really explain how she did it. She simply said it was an apology to Drew and Trey. It made me wonder, did all witches have the power to do that?
"But they're ecstatic." Trey continued. "It would've been really bad if we lost more than half of the pack in one night. But...everyone's back and we're all happy."
"So..." I said. "What happens now?"
He was silent for a second. "The Golden Moon Pack will most likely go back to their territory and live in their dorms. And our lives will probably go back to normal. I'll feel...lighter now as well. Because of the Blood Moon Pack being officially gone and, of course, because of you."
I leaned up to peck him on the lips and caught a glimpse of outside again. "Did I sleep for the whole day?" I asked.
He nodded his head before snuggling closer, resting his cheek on the top of my head. "I should've considered the fact that you were human and needed your rest."
How ironic that he had to bring up my human topic.
So I decided to go right into it. "Trey, you're immortal, right?"
"Not necessarily, no."
"But you live long. Thousands of years." I felt his head nod. From his calm behavior, he must not know where I'm going with this. "What about our baby? Will it live long too?"
"Yes." He paused. "What is it, Willow?"
I sighed and wrapped my arms around his back to pull my body closer to his. "I'm going to miss you."
Trey stiffened. "What are you talking about?"
"You know?" I lifted my head to look into his eyes. He was now wide awake and staring at me with eyes full of confusion and fury. "When I leave."
