Arushi's POV
It is said that things don't always turn out the way we expect them to be. But sometimes it is good that way.
I was happy when Vikrant told that he decided not to judge me without knowing about me. But what he did next was something you expect from the people who know you dearly.
I was trying to convince mumma through eye talks to postpone the date and god knows how Vikrant understood my discomfort. And even before thinking twice he lied to his family just for me.
This really left me dumbstuck. I mean who does that for a person whom you hardly know. But anyhow it brought in me a new feeling that I really cannot explain.
Our engagement is just 3 days away and tomorrow we will be leaving for Lonavala where the engagement would take place at the Shergill farmhouse. It's going to be a private affair with just close friends and relatives because Vikrant wanted to avoid the media attention. Ofcourse its The Vikrant Shergill's engagement why would media leave a chance to barge in the engagement of one of the richest and handsome businessman.
'Did I just call him handsome?' my mind snapped at me. Yes, I surely did because he is way to handsome and charming for girls to drool over him.
Anyways....Vikrant called me this morning. He had taken pmy number from Priya aunty 2 days ago and since then we are having little conversations to help us know eachother.
He wanted my help to select his outfit as his friend Rahul was of no help to him. I literally freaked out when he said that he has still not selected an outfit....We were suppose to leave tomorrow and he has still not finished his shopping. Isn't that so great.
Currently I am waiting since half an hour for Vikrant to arrive at the food court in Phoenix marketcity. Such a lazy man he is. Who makes a girl wait for so long. I was loosing my patience with every passing minute. I have called him twice but he isn't even answering my call.
Just when I got up to leave from there I saw Vikrant literally running in the food court.
"I...am..so..rr.y. I w...as cau...gh..t up in a mee...ting." He was panting so badly when he reached me.
"Calm down and have some water first." I said offering him a bottle of water.
After settling himself for a few minutes he finally spoke.
"I am sorry. I thought the meeting would end soon but it kept on dragging a bit. So sorry for making you wait since such a long time." His voice genuinely felt sorry.
"Its ok...I understand work is important." I said with a smile. He really has an effect on me. My anger and irritation was all gone by now.
"Can we order something...I am damn hungry?" his baby face was so cute I really felt like pulling his cheeks but I couldn't do anything more than smiling like an idiot.
After having some sandwiches and juice we started taking a walk around some shops in search of his perfect dress. When I finally found one. It was a cream kurta with a pista green overcoat that had some art silk work. It looked just so perfect on him.
"Great choice soon to be Mrs.Arushi Vikrant Shergill." He was just centimetres away from me and this proximity literally made me skip a beat.
When he was in the trial room to change back his clothes. Those three words 'Mrs. Arushi Vikrant Shergill' sounded so unfamiliar yet my heart is doing a happy dance.
I was so lost in my thoughts that I dint realise Vikrant was already back.... yet again giving him a chance to tease me.
"Stop thinking so much about me." He said
