With all the drama that’s been going on throughout this past month or so, Kim and I both forgot about prom.
“You mean you didn’t get a dress?!”
“Did you even get a limo?!”
“Who’s gonna do your hair and makeup?!”
“How are you so calm about this?!”
I was being bombarded with questions from Sami, Jules, Sarah, and Lily during lunch. Even though me and Jake were together, I still sat with them. It was nice having friends outside of the pack, you know?
“No,” I whined, covering my face in my hands.
“Has Jake even asked you?” Lily asked. I shook my head and they all gasped. Before anyone could ask me anything else, Sarah got up and marched over to Jake’s table. She grabbed his ear and pulled him to the side. I laughed softly and watched as she freaked out on him.
“He’s gonna get a mouthful from her,” Lily said, making us all laugh.

“You wanna go to prom?” Jake asked as we walked to him car. I stopped.
“Was that a promposal or just a question?” I asked, narrowing my eyes. He chuckled and pulled me along.
“I was just asking, babe. You haven’t mentioned anything about it before so I figured it didn’t matter.” I sighed, getting in.
“I was a bit occupied to worry about prom,” I said, fidgeting with my fingers. Jake grabbed my hand and squeezed it softly.
“Do you still wanna go? The deadline for prom tables and whatever are in two days. We might get sucky seats, but if you want to go, I can convince the guys to go too,” he said, kissing my palm.
“The guys don’t have to go unless they want too, but I do kind of wanna go with you,” I said, rubbing my thumb on his. He threw me a sweet smile.
“And what about prom weekend?” he asked, squeezing my butt as we made our way to his room. I laughed and jumped on his bed.
“That’s up to you. Since I made the decision of going to prom,” I said, making myself comfortable. He grinned and came to lay down next to me.
“We can do that. Just the two of us though,” he said, rubbing my cheek.
“I’d like that,” I whispered.
“Me too,” he said in a soft voice before pressing his lips to mine.

Prom was literally just two weeks away and all we had done was figuring out which table we’d sit at. Sarah, Lily, Sami, and Julie said they could fit a couple more people at their table so both Kim and I, along with Jake and Jared, decided to sit with and their dates.
Speaking of dates, Embry decided to ask Sami and Quil asked Lily, although they didn’t imprint on either girl. But then again, not all werewolves are lucky enough to find their imprint.
After school, Jake and I decided to go hang out at the beach. We walked, hand in hand, not really talking.
“Let’s go to the cliffs,” he said suddenly. I smiled and nodded. I jumped on his back and slapped his butt.
“Onward,” I said. He chuckled and hooked my legs around his waist. I left small butterfly kisses on his neck the whole way.
“You need to stop that,” he said, although it sounded more like a moan. I giggled.
“Oops,” I said, biting his ear.
“Oops my ass,” he muttered. I laughed. Eventually when we reached the cliffs, we decided to sit on the ledge. That was when something caught my eye.
