Riiiiing.
Y/n and Sana looked at each other as red lights around them started flashing. Immediately both ran outside where everyone else was sprinting towards. Don't think you're off the hook Sana. I'll ask you again when this is over.
The two best friends came to a stop just outside the main entrance of their high school. A screech was heard throughout the building. There was a demon standing in front of the school gates.
Y/n POV
Another screech was heard as the 15ft demon tried to get past the gates. I doubt it'll get through, the school has a magical barrier that prevents unholy spirits to pass through.
All of the students watched its every move, many had their weapons and pet animal out. Sana looked over at me, "Do you think it'll pass through?"
"Nah. The barrier always holds," I replied. As if on cue the demon stomps past the fences and made its way toward the main entrance. Sana gave me a hard stare, which just made her look like an angry squirrel. "Well... I mean.. Did I say always? I meant usually."
The demon had yellow eyes with black slits and a sharp tongue. It looked to be a mix of a gigantic moose and snake. Its antlers had a proud display of small chunks of flesh. The bottom half of its body showed scars and black hooves. The tail behind it was a snake rattle. In the demon's hand was a giant axe, decorated with dry blood.
Everyone had gotten into position and waited for orders from a teacher. The demon just stared at everyone but for some reason kept its eye on one person in particular. I followed its line of sight and realized it was staring at Dahyun or as I like to call her Tofu-ah.
Why is it staring at her? And where the hell are the adult figures??
I looked around and took notice that there were no teachers around. I felt a tap on my elbow and noticed Sana looking at me, "Are you going to call your tiger?"
"I haven't decided yet, I kind of wanted to try to defeat it myself- with the help of other students of course," I replied, "Are you going to call your dragon?"
Instead of answering, Sana simply held out her arm and on it appeared a miniature silver dragon.
Everyone in this story has a pet or as some students call them their friend. It's basically an animal that helps you with anything you want- if it's willing to help you. You don't choose your animal friend, it chooses you. Your personality must match with the animal that chooses you.
There are some people who still haven't gotten chosen by an animal yet. The animal can come from anywhere- a shop, the wild, school events, etc. If said animal bonds with you, then you have found your lifelong friend.
The silver dragon was a little longer than Sana's arm and the same width. I smiled as it was looking at Sana with a bright expression.
A hiss caught my attention as the demon was glaring at all the students. So suddenly it started galloping towards us. Some students froze while others started charging towards the demon. I quickly tapped on my necklace and it transformed into a sword.
I stared into Sana's chocolate brown eyes, "You ready?"
Sana's dragon was flying in circles around her. She let out a smirk, "Yep." Sana cracked her knuckles and looked back at me. I think she's the only girl who fights with her bare hands.
Honestly it's attractive. I raised my eyebrow and watched the demon running towards us, "Let's go kick some ass."
We both took off running into the direction of the demon.
