Chapter 3: The New Girl

Sana POV

This is all my fault.

I am currently in the school's emergency waiting room. How did I get here? Well...

Flashback-

Y/n and I were inches away from the demon before we realized we didn't exactly have a plan. "What do we do?" I asked Y/n as we dodged the swing of its axe.

"Uh I haven't exactly thought that far." Y/n replied, "Don't die and kill it?"

I mentally face palmed at our lack of planning, "We are so screwed."

"No we're not. Maybe ask your dragon to get a bird's eye view and search for any weaknesses without getting too close." Y/n strategized, "Let's each take a group of students and cover the demon from all sides."

"Okay." I mentally told Crusoe Y/n's plan and went to gather some students.

Crusoe is the name of my dragon. I had given him this name because of the movie Water Horse. He eats just as much food and loves being in the water.

My group had LaLisa, J-Hope, Joy, and a new girl. She was short, had short hair, and an amazing body. I noticed she had a silver ring on her finger. Wow she's hot. No, I got to stay focused.

"We're going to cover the rear of the demon. I have a feeling the demon can spit venom just by the fact that it's part snake," I stated, "Crusoe had given me a heads up that the demon is S-Class. The strongest demon level there is. So please be careful."

"We've actually had this exact type of demon at my last school," The new girl said, "its weakness is the tail or rattle I should say."

We all exchanged surprised glances, "What kind of school did you transfer from?" LaLisa asked.

No time to explain now.

We all headed towards the back of the demon while Y/n's group in front of it distracted it. Her group consisted of Rosé, Jungkook, and Mark.

The rest of the students were either up in the air or covering the sides.

"Okay. Since you know how to defeat it, you lead." I told the new girl.

"I think I'll handle this myself actually," She muttered to us, "I don't want to get anyone else hurt."

The girl took off in the direction of the tail and the ring on her finger transformed into a white blade, it looked pure. Even though she told us to stay put, I went after her.

In one swift movement the new girl jumped and cut the tail straight off. I stopped running after her and watched in awe. Who is this girl? It only took one slice and it's an S-Class demon! The demon let out a cry of pain before it whipped around and stared right at me.

Wait does it think that I did that?

I watched as the demon let out a growl and spit. The spit headed straight towards me. I just watched it in horror. I didn't bother to move.

In the corner of my eye, I caught movement. Suddenly someone was in front of me and took the hit. The demon was enraged as it took a step towards us before finally it fell and disintegrated.

I was still frozen in place. Until the body in front of me let out a groan of pain and collapsed. I immediately ran to her and carried her bride style.

Why'd you take the hit for me, Y/n?

I ran. I kept running and running until I reached the school's hospital wing. This is all my fault.
