Chapter 16: Underground

Y/n POV

I thought about how to approach it when I saw that the sprinklers were on. "Get Sana," I whispered to Dahyun.

The lizard man still hasn't seen us so it was essential to keep quiet. I made sure to keep an eye on his attacks on Marshmallow to be sure she doesn't get injured.

Sana and Dahyun came briskly walking over to the three of us hiding behind some bushes. "You told me you were an ice mage, right?" I looked to Sana.

Sana nodded her head, "Yes."

"Okay. I'm going to create a wave and I need you to freeze him into it," I strategized.

Sana narrowed her eyes at the lizard man, "Got it."

As the sprinklers came on once again, I concentrated and lifted up my hand. Almost immediately the water from the sprinklers starting gushing up, creating a gigantic wave.

Marshmallow and the lizard man stopped fighting as they caught sight of the wave. "Holy sh-" the lizard man said with wide eyes.

Marshmallow just hightailed it out of there, she hates getting her fur wet. The lizard just stood there, like an idiot basically waiting for the wave to engulf him.

"Wow. And we're enemies with this guy? How have we not caught him earlier?" Tzuyu shook her head.

When the wave was big enough I aimed it to the lizard man with my hand. As he saw the wave approaching him, he turned around and started running.

"Ha! Now he starts running," Tzuyu continued to make fun of him.

"Tzuyu-ah. He might hear us," Jihyo scolded.

The wave was too fast for him. It covered the lower half of his body, I waited for it to cover up to his neck before I turned to Sana, "Now!"

Sana closed her eyes and lifted up her hand. I heard a crackling noise and looked over at the lizard man. Everything except for his head was frozen in ice.

Tzuyu let out a giggle and started taking pictures of the lizard man. I chuckled at her behavior and walked out of our hiding spot. Everyone else followed me.

I noticed parts of the grass was a bit icy, "Be careful! There's ice on the grass."

The lizard man saw us and let out a hiss, "You people again?"

"Yeah, yeah. You're a villian and you're probably going to threaten us and all that." I dismissively said. I turned around to make sure no one was going to slip.

Everyone didn't seem to have a problem with the ice. That was until I saw Sana start slipping. I quickly made my way over to her to steady her.

Unfortunately she grabbed on to me as she fell, making me fall with her.

"Oof," I made a sound as I fell on top of her.

I was straddling her and had my hands near the sides of her head to make myself from putting my full weight on her. Sana was breathing heavily under me, looking straight into my eyes before glancing at my lips.

She immediately looked away but I caught her. "If you two kiss, I'm going to puke," the lizard man stated from his place on the grass.

Way to ruin a moment.

I softly smiled at Sana and kissed her cheek before I got off of her and helped her up. She was red in the face.

Jihyo, Dahyun and Tzuyu looked at us with smirks and raised eyebrows. I playfully rolled my eyes at them and held hands with Sana. We walked over to the lizard man.
