Chapter 5: Abilities (1)

Y/n POV

It is currently Wednesday. The demon destroyed the barrier along with the gates, so all throughout yesterday students had to help repair. I cannot believe the demon attacked on Monday, and in the morning too. I thought they would be attacking in the night but nooo. It decided to attack during broad daylight.

Wait a minute.

In Mr. TOP's past classes he stated that demons would only come out in broad daylight if it absolutely needed to. So what made the demon come out? And why was it so focused on Tofu-ah?

A hand waved right in front of my face, making me flinch. "Earth to Y/n," Rosé said.

"Huh?" I asked.

"Do you agree?" Rosé questioned. Sana, LaLisa, and Jungkook also wanting an answer.

"Yes, I do agree." I stated. Everyone at the lunch table started laughing. Sana was red in the face as she shyly looked away. Oh no what did I just agree to?

"She said yes, Sana." LaLisa winked at her.

Sana started stuttering and hid her face behind her binder.

While Rosé and LaLisa teased her, Jungkook explained what I missed. "Okay considering you look confused, Sana said that she was crushing on Mark. LaLisa told her she's never going to get anywhere with men and to try her luck on women. Then Rosé stated that you and Sana would make a good couple and asked if you agreed with her."

What. The. Hell.

A large blush covered my face but I looked down so my hat hid it. Our three friends just laughed at us and got up, "Wait. Where are you guys going?" I asked.

"We're going to leave you two alone to talk about your unrequited feelings," Rosé teased, laughing as they walked away.

I let out a chuckle at their antics and slid closer to Sana, who still had her binder covering her face. I lightly grabbed the binder and put it flat on the table.

Sana was still red in the face as she looked over at me. I let out a little laugh, "You're cute. Come on, we're going to be late for gym." I took her binder in one hand and held Sana's hand with my other.

"Okay students. Today we are going to learn about our abilities. Mainly the level you are currently at. So please be prepared to get hurt," Mr. Daesung explained, "How are we going to find out you ask? With this." He took the cover off a machine in the middle of the gym.

Is he messing with us?

"It's just a VR headset, sir" the new girl- I think her name was Chaeyoung- confusedly scratched her head.

"It may seem like just a regular VR headset but wait until you put it on," Mr. Daesung smirked. A couple a girls and guys melted at the sight. "Would anyone like to go first?"

I like a good mystery but no one likes to go first or last on anything.

Everyone remained silent. Until finally Jisso raised her hand. "Alrighty then," Mr. Daesung said.

"Are you not scared, Unnie?" Rosé asked.

Jisso let out a playful smile and confidently stated, "I'm not scary."

Mr. Daesung put the VR set on her head and adjusted it, "Do you have a pet?" He asked.

Jisso shook her head no and awaited his instructions. "Okay. You might feel slightly light headed but you should be fine." He told her.

Mr. Daesung held a remote in his hand and clicked a button. Jisso was no longer in the gym with us. The VR was gone as well. Five seconds past until he pressed the same button again. Jisso appeared with the headset on.

He took the headset off of her and stated, "You cannot tell anyone what happened to you until after everyone in this room has done it. That goes for all of you."

Jisso nodded her head, seemingly to be in a daze.

"Okay. Who's next?" Mr. Daesung questioned as his eyes scanned the rest of the students.
