Y/n POVI stared at my bedroom ceiling as I woke up from my slumber. Ever since I told JYP-nim about the events that took place at the school and in my home, nothing has happened.
JYP-nim was being extra cautious about all the decisions he made about school security.
Yesterday, on Friday, Mr. TOP had told me to get started on reading the book if I was to find out the truth.
I asked him why he didn't keep the book himself and just tell me what happens but he just told me it's better to read it myself.
I whistled and waited for Marshmallow to come to me.
Once she walked into my room, I motioned for her to follow me. We walked into my bathroom and closed the door, locking it.
Marshmallow was looking at me in confusion.
"There's something that I hid in here. If something happens to me, I need you to take it to Sana. Let no one else know about it. I still haven't told Sana about it yet," I looked straight into icy blue eyes.
Marshmallow nodded her head.
I removed the floorboard and took out the fancy looking book.
I read the title, "Sapphire: The Lonely Girl"
I looked at Marshmallow, "No one is in this room with us, right?"
Marshmallow shook her head.
"Okay, good." I traced the book cover before opening it.
Chapter One: The Past
Sapphire had given birth to a healthy baby girl. Everyone in the kingdom rejoiced as they heard their Queen would have a heir. Of course since there are those who were filled with joy, there are also those who were filled with sadness. One person in particular who goes by the name of Seth Luong, despised the Queen and her daughter. Why? Well it all started back when Sapphire was a teenager.
Her parents basically put her on house arrest because she couldn't control her powers. Sapphire had no one her age to talk to, she was usually alone in her family's big castle. Her parents were always busy doing what Kings and Queens do. Sapphire would spend her time either helping the maids or butlers with their chores or be out in the garden.
Sapphire loved the castle garden, to her it was a magical place that contained many secrets. One day, Sapphire overheard her parents talking about her betrothal. She was to be married to another teenager named Seth Luong! She had heard from the maids who were gossiping that he was a total brat.
After she had heard the news, she grew angry. There was a secret she had been keeping from everyone. Sapphire had already met someone. While in the garden, she had found a way to climb over the stone walls surrounding the castle.
She had been in and out of the castle many times without anyone knowing. While out in town, she had met a teenage boy who was the same age as her. His name was Choi Seung-hyun. Sapphire called him TOP for short.
My eyes widened as I read that sentence. I looked at Marshmallow stunned while she gave me a confused look. I shook my head and continued reading.
TOP was the son of a merchant, meaning he did have money but lacked a high social status. Sapphire had never told TOP that she was the Queen's daughter in fear that he wouldn't view her the same way he currently did.
The two had fallen in love but Sapphire knew that it wouldn't last as long as she hoped. She wanted their relationship to work out but eventually her parents caught onto her. They forced Sapphire to end her relationship with TOP and never see him again.
Sapphire had broken up with him without telling him a reason. TOP was devastated. He had tried to find her but she had cut all ties with him. Her parents made sure she wouldn't be able to leave the castle again unless she agreed to marry Seth Luong.
Sapphire didn't know what to do. Her heart yearned for TOP but she had no way to contact him and isn't even allowed to see him. It had taken her five months until she gave up fighting her parents and agreed to marry Seth Luong.
What Sapphire didn't know was that TOP was training to become a soldier. He had flew up the ranks and became one of the best warriors, being chosen with fourteen other men to protect the castle. It was on Sapphire's wedding day did the two meet again.
TOP was given the job of making sure the royals were protected. You can believe his shock when his ex-girlfriend whom he still loves walked down the aisle to marry a man everyone hated. TOP had heard from many others how egotistical Seth was, he wanted to punch the smirk off of Seth's face as Sapphire said "I do".
TOP could tell Sapphire wasn't happy. He can see the smile she wore was fake and her eyes weren't shining as brightly as they should considering it was supposed to be the happiest day of her life. Sapphire was miserable.
TOP wanted to talk to Sapphire but it would seem suspicious that a soldier like him would speak with her. He waited for Sapphire to move away from the crowd so he can talk to her. After an hour, Sapphire walked away from the large crowd into the castle garden. TOP waited a couple of minutes before he followed her.
I looked away from the book, preparing myself for what was going to happen in the next page. I took a deep breath and continued reading.
They reunited. Sapphire had tears of happiness in her eyes as she caught sight of the (still) love of her life. After the high of having TOP next to her passed, Sapphire frowned. For how was their relationship going to thrive if she was married? TOP suggested to keep on seeing each other without Seth knowing.
Sapphire was hesitant. If Seth found out then TOP was surely going to be killed and she was probably going to be locked in the castle again. After a couple of minutes, Sapphire had agreed. She and TOP continued to see each other after the wedding night.
Their love for each other continued to grow.
Everything was going well. Seth didn't know about Sapphire's secret relationship with one of his trusted soldiers. That was until Sapphire revealed she was pregnant. The kingdom was overjoyed about the news, but not Seth.
Seth knew the baby wasn't his because whenever he tried to initiate love making, Sapphire would come up with an excuse and deny him.
That was when Seth uncovered the truth.
Riiiing~
I answered my phone, "Y/n. Can you come over and help me study for the history test tomorrow?"
"You mean right now?" I asked Sana.
"Please. If you're not too busy at the moment," Sana begged me.
"Uhm yeah sure. I'll be over with Marshmallow," I replied.
"Yay! See you soon." Sana cheered.
I hung up the phone and reread the pages I've already read. I'm never going to see Mr. TOP the same way again.
I put the book back in it's hiding place and left to go to Sana's house. I texted her that I was already here and she texted back for me to come in. I expected her to say that, she gets lazy to open her front door.
What I didn't expect when I entered the living room was to see Sana tied in a chair with a gag in her mouth. I also didn't expect to see the fake Mr. RapMonster sitting across from her grinning at me.
------------
So apparently my work didn't get saved from the last time I wrote this chapter, so I had to rewrite everything again.
Anyways I hope you enjoyed it!
