Chapter 29: The Cave

Y/n POV

Darkness was all around me.

"Y/N!" A voice called out.

It was the same exact voice that I heard when everyone had a sleepover at my place.

"Y/N!"

I frowned and looked all around me but couldn't see anything because of the darkness.

"Use your powers, Y/n! You'll die if you don't!" The voice sounded urgent as it pleaded me.

I bit my lip. Use my powers for what? Where the heck am I?

It seemed like I was standing in a dark room but I felt like I was floating. Why do I feel so numb? How did I get here?

I tried to remember what events led up to this point. I went with Dahyun, Jeongyeon, and Mr. TOP to the demon world to save our friends. Mr. TOP led us through the frozen land to some shed.

Dahyun had gotten her foot stuck on a branch when we almost reached the shed, making me try to pull her out but I ended up falling.

But where did I fall?

"Y/N! Use your powers!" The voice repeated frantically.

The lake.

That's where I fell! Is that where I'm at now?

I clenched my jaw and concentrated. I lifted up my arms and felt myself gravitate upwards.

Everything hit me at once.

I was in the water.

The water covered my body, the coldness numbing me completely.

I looked up at the hole I fell from and used my powers to quickly swim my way towards it. I felt something slippery brush against my foot but ignored it, heading straight for opened hole.

I noticed that the hole was beginning to freeze over again. I couldn't hold my breath for long and frantically swam upwards. I felt something slippery grab onto my leg just as I was about to reach the hole.

It pulled me down.

I panicked and tried to see what was holding me but it was so dark. I manipulated the water around me to create powerful waves underwater. I made a mini whirlpool and felt the slippery thing let go of my leg.

I took my chance and once again rushed towards the opening as I desperately needed air. I pulled my head above the water as I managed to swim up the hole.

I frantically breathed in and out for air and felt hands pull me out of the water. I coughed up some water and watched as the hole I swam up from freeze into ice once again. I was so close into being stuck in the frozen river.

"Take off your clothes," I heard someone tell me.

I looked up at Jeongyeon in confusion, "What?"

"Take off your clothes. It's freezing out here and the wetness of your clothes will give you hypothermia and may even kill you. Take them off," She lightly demanded as she looked at me in concern.

I shivered as I started to pull the wet clothes off of my body. Everyone turned around to give me some sort of privacy.

"T-They're o-off," I stuttered out as I wrapped my arms around my body as a feeble attempt to keep myself warm.

Mr. TOP didn't turn around but he walked backwards and handed me his heavy coat and fur hat. I quickly buttoned the coat on me and pulled on the hat, sighing in relief at the warmth they provided. Since he was tall, the coat went down to my ankles.
