Chapter 28: Hadal Zone

Y/n POV

"How'd you know that we were going to the castle?" Jeongyeon eyed Mr. TOP in suspicion.

Dahyun, Jeongyeon, and I were on Mr. TOP's ship, talking about why Mr. TOP decided to come over.

He side eyed me and said, "I know for a fact that one of you will do anything for your friends."

"Well yeah," Dahyun nodded her head, "But how did you know we were going to the castle specifically?"

He chuckled and looked at me, "I got an interesting call from your father. He says that he can't believe that I gave a history assignment about how to enter the demon world."

Jeongyeon, Dahyun, and I cringed at being caught.

"Oh," I sheepishly smiled and scratched my neck.

He grinned, "Don't worry, I didn't snitch on you. In fact, JYP had given me the mission to get your friends back. I thought I'd bring you ladies along."

"He specifically told us that we couldn't go though," Jeongyeon mentioned.

Dahyun lightly elbowed her.

Jeongyeon quickly tried to fix her mistake, "I mean he told us we couldn't go unless it was with an...adult?"

I facepalmed at how she tried to save the situation.

Mr. TOP chuckled, "I already know that you three can't go. I won't tell if you won't."

"You're just going to let us come with you?" Dahyun tilted her head.

"If I didn't then you ladies would still go to the castle. Might as well have me as a guide and protector while we enter the demon world," He shrugged.

"Aren't you worried about getting fired if JYP-nim finds out?" I questioned in astonishment.

He looked at me for a few seconds, "JYP cannot afford to lose me. I'm his ace and secret weapon."

Dahyun leaned into my ear and whispered, "He's a bit egotistical."

I chuckled and playfully smacked her shoulder, "Don't be mean."

"We're here," He stated.

We all took in the sight of the castle below us.

"Why couldn't we take our pets again?" I asked.

Mr. TOP sighed, "It makes it harder for me to keep track of all of you ladies. I really don't want to worry about your pets either."

"You really think we can sneak out way into wherever our friends are?" Jeongyeon questioned.

"Of course not," Mr. TOP answered, "I know for a fact that we will be spotted but we want to make sure that the demons don't spot us until we have your friends with us."

"Are you going to make us jump down on our own again?" Dahyun questioned nervously as she looked down.

"Actually I remembered that we had bungee ropes the whole time," He casually mentioned.

"Wait. So you're telling me that we jumped off of this ship for no reason last time?" I narrowed my eyes at him.

He laughed, "Yes. Let's go."

A few moments later~

I took off the harness connecting the long rope from the ship and grinned, "That was both scary and awesome!"

Dahyun was next to me glaring, "For you maybe. I'm never doing that again."

I chuckled lightly as Jeongyeon and Mr. TOP landed next us. They disconnected themselves from their harness and stretched their bodies. We took a minute before walking inside the castle and down the basement.
