Chapter 9: A Rekindled Friendship

Sana POV

I was mad at myself. I haven't been affectionate with Y/n because of what happened in the Abilities Test.

I was worried it would come true. There's a possibility that Y/n will react that exact way if I tell her my sexuality.

Then I would lose her forever.

As I walked away from Y/n I didn't turn around. It wasn't until I rounded the corner did I slightly pop my head out to see her reaction.

Y/n was looking down at her feet and frowning. I clenched my teeth and continued walking to our first period class.

I made just in time too. The bell rang as soon as I sat down.

Ten minutes has passed~

I am wondering where Y/n is. She said it wouldn't take her long to find that one book.

After ten more minutes, I began to get worried. Y/n would never ditch class purposely.

Lunch time~

I walked around looking for Y/n. I first checked the library and asked the librarian if she had seen her. She just looked at me almost suspiciously before she said she hasn't.

I was at a loss and just decided to call her.

'I'm sorry, the person you have dialed-'

Straight to voicemail.

I was frustrated and sat down on a bench, glaring at a stick.

"Penny for your thoughts?" A voice asked, making me jump.

It was Jihyo. She's like an older sister to me, other than the fact that I'm older than her. She was one of the strongest mages here with the power to control the earth. She's also our class president.

"Oh hey, Jihyo." I said, "I'm just thinking about someone."

"You mean Y/n?" She questioned.

"How did you-" I started but was interrupted.

"Whenever you think about her your pupils dilate. If I didn't know any better I would say you're in love with her," She told me with an eyebrow raised.

I looked down at my lap and blushed hard, "I am not."

"Your red face says otherwise," she replied.

I quickly changed the subject, "Inside the Abilities Test, I confessed my sexuality to her and she basically unfriended me. And now that I realize it can happen in real life-"

"You're worried that she would react the same exact way." Jihyo finished.

I nodded my head.

"Sana-unnie, you are being stupid." Jihyo said making me look at her in shock, "I was walking with Y/n yesterday and we saw Seulgi kiss her girlfriend. Y/n called them adorable and told me she loved how open they were about their relationship."

I couldn't believe my ears, "S-So she wouldn't be disgusted by me if I tell her?"

"No, she wouldn't." Jihyo answered, "and even if she did I would beat the shit out of her," She added more quietly but I still heard it.

I finally snapped myself out of my stupor and smiled brightly. I looked over at Jihyo and thanked her.

I hugged her and practically bounced away. I just need to find Y/n now. I hope she isn't mad at me.

I still couldn't find her anywhere and lunch was practically over.

As I heard the bell I let out a sigh and walked to my fifth period class. When I entered, I saw Y/n sitting in her seat. She looked pretty angry.
