Chapter 5

"That's so funny," Josh says laughing. "I can't get over the fact that you hated him." I want to reply when my phone rings.

"Oh, it's Hero. I need to go!" Josh gives me a sad smile.

"See you around," he says before walking away.

I spot Hero standing with is back against the wall. I love him with his black, skinny jeans and white shirt. It's such a simple outfit but so sexy! He has a frown on his beautiful face.

"Hi!" I say before I jump into his arms.

"Baby!" He catches me and presses his lips against mine. Just as before his kiss lasts longer than I'm used to in public.

"Wow, seems like you've missed me," I tease.

"You have no idea." He takes my hand and we walk inside. The buffet looks delicious, we are so spoiled! Thanks to my work earlier I'm friends with the catering and they let us jump the line.

"So, how did your day go so far?" Hero asks before taking a huge bite of his burger.

"It was fine." I start telling him about my morning and the jobs I had.

"Oh, that doesn't sound very exciting. Did you do anything fun?" he asks casually, too casually. I'm suspicious immediately. I know him too well.

"Why?" I ask with a stern voice.

"Well, you seemed to be very cozy with Josh."

"I just met the guy!"

"Did he stay after I left?"

"Yeah, he asked how we met so I told him."

"Why?" He puts his burger down.

"Just because he is a nice guy and had nothing else to do!"

"Yeah right."

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"I don't like him."

"Do you even know him?" I ask with my eyebrow popped up. I know for a fact they only just met that same morning during the table read.

"No." He admits.

"What's wrong then?"

"I just don't like the way he looks at you." He gives me the cutest smile and I can't even be angry. In fact, it's kind of adorable that he's jealous.

"Please don't punch him in the face like you did with Killian," I tease and just like that the tension between us is gone.

"Don't put any ideas in my head," he warns jokingly.

Hero and I walk back to his trailer holding hands. He has a rehearsal that afternoon and I have to meet with the other assistants to get new orders from Greg.

"Do you want to help me study my lines tonight?" Hero asks. "I'll reward you for all the work," he says with a smirk.

"Oh, well, how can I say no to an offer like that?" I give him a kiss on the cheek and that's when I spot her for the first time. The girl who caused so much trouble and who will be working with Hero now. Melany. Standing next to his trailer. Fuck.

"Charlotte," she says while she looks at me from head to toe. "It's been a long time."

"Not long enough, I'm afraid." Her bitchy smile doesn't seem promising.
