Chapter 53

*C H A R L O T T E*

Dinner went perfect last night but I'm a little worried about Josh. I didn't see him at the restaurant last night and he didn't text me back. Today is his day though. I know I have been a little pre-occupied with Jack and Lizzie and the babies but they're spending the day with Hero so I've reserved my day for Josh. We have work, of course, but at least we will be together all day. And tonight we could have a romantic dinner on our balcony.

Whistling I walk to the food trailer to steal a muffin before I go check out the sets. I hear a sound from behind the trailer and I stop. I can't really tell what it is though. Hopefully not an other reporter trying to sneak in! Very silently I walk in the direction of the noise. When I turn a corner I let out a tiny scream. Behind the food trailer I spot Diego and Brody kissing each other. I scared them with my scream and Brody fell down.

"Damn, Charlotte, what the fuck?!" Brody says while Diego helps him up. Diego's cheeks are pink and he doesn't dare to look at me.

I start giggling. This is too funny. Brody looks at Diego with raised eyebrows and Diego starts laughing too. Brody still doesn't think it's funny.

"I'm so sorry Brodes," I start. "I heard a sound and I was afraid it was a reporter trying to sneak in. I didn't expect to find-" I start giggling again.

Finally Brody starts laughing too.

"Does Isabella know?" I ask.

"Oh, yeah, she's not too happy about it but I won fair and square," Brody says with a proud smile.

"We just don't want people to see us together at work," Diego adds.

"Plus, it's also kind of hot, sneaking around." Brody is the one to wiggle his eyebrows this time.

We walk to the food trailer and Diego gives me the muffins. I'm so excited for the both of them. I couldn't figure out if Diego was gay or not and then I got swamped in my own problems. Luckily, there's still love in the world.

Eating my muffin, I walk to the trailers. Josh and Melany have some scenes today. I get Josh first.

"Hi gorgeous," he says when I walk in. "I've missed you!"

I walk over to him and cuddle him before pressing my lips against his. I look in his eyes and try to figure out if something is wrong.

"What?" he asks in a suspicious tone.

"Nothing, nothing," I say before putting me head against his chest. "I just missed you last night." Josh has always been very easy to read for me and whatever was bothering him last night, is gone now. All I see in his eyes is love.

"Ready?" I ask.

"Yes, boss!"
On our way to the set we knock on Melany's door. Usually Josh wants to wait around to see if she's actually coming but not today. Today he's in a hurry.

Our first two scenes of the day go smoothly and Greg is very pleased.

"God, Charlotte, I actually think we can finish this!"

"I hope so," I smile. "We've worked hard to get here."

Josh joins us.

"This is going well," he says in a cheery voice.

"Yes, it is," Greg adds. "I need to talk to Melany though. Her performance is okay but it isn't perfect." Greg walks away to talk to Melany.

"Hey you," I say to Josh and I wrap my arms around him. "What about a romantic dinner tonight? Just the two of us! I know I have been so busy with Jack and Lizzie and I want to make it up to you." Josh's eyes sparkle and he starts laughing.
