Rachel POV
I'm late. Ten days late. My period hasn't come yet.
I mean, we were trying for a kid, right? So I guess I need to take a pregnancy test. But I don't know where those are up here; I haven't bought any. And I can't tell Finn until I know if I'm pregnant or not. I have a gut feeling that I'm pregnant, though.
Kitty. She always has pregnancy tests; I'll call her. Taking out my phone, I start thinking about this, truly. Am I ready for a kid? Yes, I am. Finn and I are ready to have a kid; there's no doubt about it.
I dial her number, and when she finally answers, I sigh of relief. "Hey Rach, what's up?" She asks calmly.
"I'm late. Ten days late. Can you come over with a pregnancy test?" I ask nervously and she shrieks into the phone. "Kit! Ears!"
"Right, sorry. I just didn't know you and Finn were trying for a kid, R! But no, sorry, I don't have any tests. Marley does, though. I'll grab her and be there in ten minutes," Kitty ends the call before I can ask why she's out of tests. That's suspicious.
The ten minutes pass quickly; the door opens before I even know what's happening. "Hey, Rachel, we're going to the upstairs bathroom!" Marley shouts, somehow knowing where I am.
"Hey. I brought a few; Jake was confused but whatever," the brunette gives me a smile and opens her purse to reveal three tests.
"Thanks girls. Can you leave for a minute so I can pee?" I ask and they nod, saying they're going to be in the kitchen.
I decide the easier way to use all three tests would be to pee in one of those single use cups I keep in the bathroom and then stick the tip in the cup.
While I do that, my mind is on everyone's reactions. Is Finn ready for a kid? Why didn't Kitty have any tests? What will my dads and Shelby say? Oh God, what about Finn's dad?
I set a timer for five minutes on my phone; that's how long the tests need before I text Marley that her and Kitty can come up. They're there in under ten seconds, not out of breath in the slightest.
"So, Kit, why'd you need to come to me for the tests? Don't get me wrong; I'm happy to help, but you always have three tests at home. I've seen your bathroom," Marley asks and Kitty blushes.
"I used mine. There were no negatives," the blonde admits and I shriek.
"Oh my God, are we going to be pregnant together?" I shriek, and Marley smirks. "Are you pregnant too or something?"
"What? I don't think so, Berry. I don't know; I'm not due for," she pulls her phone out of her pocket to check her calendar. A look of realization falls over her face. "Shit. Looks like I might be too."
"This is a good thing, Marls!" Kitty exclaims, smiling. I nod my agreement.
Timers up. The familiar sound of Barbra Streissand is playing through my phone.
I shut off the timer and flip all three of them.
Positive.
Positive.
Positive.

I'm tired and thinking of ending this book soon but also probably not going to.
Later loves,
