It was about eleven o'clock at night when I hear my phone ringing on my nightstand. I was just planning the upcoming bake sale, so far, I had planned what food I needed to prepare and who would be able to help me. I decided to just have Eli, Harley, and Jasper help but Jasper was not to touch the food. I need him for something else that he was born to do.

God gave Jasper good looks for a reason, and now he was going to hold the sign and attract all those ladies and men and convince them to buy my food. I know, it's a grand plan.

I pick up the phone and look at the screen. It was Harley, so I answered it and press the phone up to my ear.

" Hello? Harley?" I ask over the phone.

I hear Harley squeal in the background as if she had just won the lottery, and then a door shutting, " Leo's back!" She says with excitement in her voice.

" Like, brother Leo? Your brother Leo?" I say, surprised by the sudden news, but happy still that her brother had returned home.

" There's more."

" What? What is it?" I ask eagerly.

" He brought a girl home."

" No fucking way. How did Leo get a girl?"

" That's what I'm wondering. But you know what the weirdest part is?"

" What?"

" She's actually gorgeous and highly intelligent."

" How did he score that?!"

" I have no fucking clue!"

I hear my bedroom door open to see Grams standing in the doorway, a concerned look on her face, " What is all the fussing about? You're just as loud as your grandfather. If he were here-"

" Leo got a girl, " I tell her, still holding the phone up to my ear.

" Is that your grandma I hear? Tell her I said hi!" Harley says over the phone.

" Harley says hi, " I say to Grams and she smiles happily.

" Tell her I said hi too. Did you say something about Leo getting a girl, a real girl?" Grams asks sounding just as surprised as I was.

" Yes. Can I talk to you in a bit Grams?"

" I'll be waiting, " Grams says and I instantly feel guilty for even asking her that. I really should spend more time with her, even if she will live until she's four-hundred and twelve.

Grandma closes my bedroom door, but still leaving a slight to be able to hear outside my bedroom. I smile at the act and turn towards my bed and flop onto it in a graceful manner...well at least, I thought it was graceful. I'm sure I looked like a complete idiot, falling face-first into a bed while not her phone, I'm surprised I can't hear my Grandma laughing uncontrollably right now.

And Jasper always wondering where I get my nosiness from.

" There's one more thing Chlo, " Harley says reminding me I'm still on the phone.

" What's up to Harley?"

" I think I like Eli."

Finally after all this time, one has had enough balls to admit it. Of course, this didn't come to a surprise to me and I'm sure you, dear reader, probably already had a feeling it would happen as well, but I'm still just as happy that she would admit it.

I decided to play it cool, instead of jumping up and down and squealing as I felt like doing inside, " Yeah, no shit, " I said sarcastically but at the same time, I did kind of mean it but in a loving way.

" Yeah, yeah, I know everyone knew that I like him. He's super hot blah blah blah all that shit...do you think he could ever like me?"

" Are you joking with me right now?"

" No."

" Goodbye."

" Wait. Chlo-"

I hang up, slightly laughing at the fact that she is so blinded by her insecurities to know that he obviously has feelings for her. This is like some middle school all over again, then again, she was being homeschooled at the time to even know what middle school romance was like.

I sigh, setting down my phone onto my bed and then walk to the door to find my grandma. She was yet again standing in the hallway and from what I could see she was reading a book. The book was upside down.

" Hey Grams, what are you doing?" I ask and almost laugh but don't say anything other than that.

Grandma looks up, acting like she is surprised, " O-oh hi Chloe dear! Didn't see ya there, " she says closing her book. I smile at how bad of an actress she is. I love my grandma but thankfully she's not the best at lying. Of course, I wish at sometimes you would lie to me like the fact that my parents left me because of the lottery but otherwise, it really does come in handy.

" Hey Grams. Do you like reading your book upside down or did you just want to try a different angle?" I tease her. Grandma looks down at her book and then back at me, a look of an embarrassment on her face but it then turns into a guilty smile, kind of like the smile that Mike made a while ago.

" Shut up. I was trying to test my mind to see if I could read upside down."

" Sure you were..." I say sarcastically and Grams rolls her eyes.

" You're just like your Grandfather."

I chuckle, "As if I have never heard that before, " I say sarcastically again.

••••

I hear my phone ringing, waking me up to my sleep. Rubbing my eye with one hand and blindly searching for my phone on my nightstand I groan at how early I had been woken up.

Who calls so early in the morning? Do others know that people sleep?

I finally find and quickly answer it, not even reading the name on the screen, " This better be a good damn reason as to why you called me at two in the morning, " I groan.

" I need your help."
