Hope

Pain is something that not many people would say they enjoy. Whether it's mental or physical pain, it's something that's not reasonably liked. Frisk had been facing pain her entire life. Yet, somehow, this was the worst pain she had ever felt. The pain of knowing that all of your friends and family would die soon. And the worst of it all was that she couldn't do anything about it. Nothing at all.

Sans and Payprus' house was a bit farther then all of the other houses. So Frisk had time to think. Frisk tried to move her arm. It flinched a bit on her physical body. Chara abruptly stopped her steady place and looked at her arm questioningly. Maybe there was a bit of hope. Chara shrugged it off and continues walking, and Frisk came up with a plan.

Her plan was simple. Just as Chara was about to make a kill, Frisk would try and move in her physical body as much as possible to provide enough time for the victim to escape. Frisk smiled weakly. It was sort of funny how you can find hope even in the worst situations. Just as her thought ended, they arrived at the house. It somehow still had snow on the roof, but that didn't exactly matter at the moment. Chara flung the door open and walked right in. Frisk prepared herself.

Sans was sleeping on the couch, unaware that there was a killer in his house. Frisk cringed. Sans didn't know about Chara. He would think it was Frisk killing everybody. He would think it was her breaking the promise that they had made. Sans opened one eye. "Oh, hey kid. Didn't know you were comin' over. Do you want some-" Chara lunged at him with a dull kitchen knife she had snagged from the Dreemurr house.

Frisk immanently tried to fling her arms and legs around to give Sans enough time to doge the attack. Frisk's body fell on the floor with a thud and Chara said aloud, "Oh, trying to interfere aren't you Frisky?" Sans teleported next to the couch. He looked startled and confused. "Your not actually Frisk, are you?"

Both tears of sadness and happiness ran down Frisk's face. Now he knew that it wasn't her, at least. His eyes were filled with sadness. Chara said sharply, "This is her physical body, you know? If you hurt me, you hurt her. Sans let out a shaky sigh and said in a firm voice, "Welp, I'm ready for a long battle, you dirty killer"
