Frisk POV:
The rest of the night went by in a daze. I spent the rest of the day doing some work on my computer. That night, was also very quiet. Chara left me in silence, and there were no nightmares which I was very grateful for to say the least. I woke up in the morning, exited to start the day which wasn't something that happened often. I took a shower first thing, got dressed, and then headed downstairs. Everything went as it normally goes everyday. We eat breakfast, Dad goes to his flower shop and Toriel bakes another pie. I do my work, and usually skip lunch, as I did today. Evening came sooner then I had originally planned, which I didn't particularly mind.
I can downstairs to greet everyone who had arrived for dinner, and tried my hardest to ignore the worried stares that were directed my way. I ran upstairs to pick out my outfit for the date I was going on shortly. I was very ecstatic for my date, mainly because I thought it was a good way to get my mind of off things. Also, the guy seemed very sincere and kind. I looked through my closet and settled for a short casual sky blue dress. Yes. This will be good for me. For me to start anew with someone who doesn't know about the darkness spreading within me.
I slipped into the dress, examining myself in the mirror. Of course I was nervous, as this was normal for any young person to be before a date. I swallowed, sitting on my bed to once again think things over. Is this really okay? Shouldn't I stay with everyone else? I think that would be a good idea, especially because- Ding. "I'm here! Come out when your ready." Welp, now there's no going back. I got on some white slip on shoes and walked down the stairs, my heart pounding in my chest. You've been on dates before Frisk. Well, it was only one, but that doesn't matter! I snuck past the kitchen where everyone seemed to be stationed at. "Where ya going Frisk?" I whipped around to see Sans standing there, his pupils replaced by an eerie darkness.
"Out with a friend." He looked down at the dress I was wearing. "Is it a.... date?" I blushed. "Why should it matter?" He looked away. "It doesn't" I stood there for a second before slowly exiting the loud house. Why did he look so hurt? "Ah! Sweet-cheeks!" I looked up at the young man standing before me. He wore faded blue jeans with a black hoodie. "Hey!" He opened his car door and gestured toward it with his hand. I laughed awkwardly as I got into the car. Why do I feel so upset about leaving? This is supposed to be fun. It will be fun. He got into the drivers seat and drove the opposite direction of the house. I longed to make him turn back, so I could be back at home with my family and friends. Little did I know, that would have been the superior choice.
I bit my lip as I thought of topics we could talk about. "I actually never got your name." The guy said, interrupting my thoughts. He smiled like an exited child about to get a lollipop. "It's Frisk. What's yours?" He smiled once again, but this time it was more soft. More gentle. "That's a beautiful name. That must mean your the ambassador, right? I'm Henry, by the way." I giggled, trying my best to forget about the thought of going home. "Yes, I am the ambassador. It's not as cool as it seems though, it gets pretty tiring after awhile." I sighed, suddenly realizing how much of a burden it really was to be ambassador. "But... it's worth it. I get to make an impact, on what the future it gonna hold. It's a lot of pressure, knowing that the monster's future lays in my hands."
I looked down at my hands, suddenly holding back tears. "It's really hard..." I whispered. It's pathetic, really. How I can spill all of my thoughts and feelings to a stranger but not let out a peep of my struggles to my family. I could feel him put his hand on my shoulder, trying to comfort me. "I get it. It certainly doesn't sound like an easy job, especially for someone who's in high school." I laughed weakly. "I don't go to high school. I'm home schooled too." He grinned at me. "That's okay." I was so busy rambling on that I didn't even realize that we had already made it to our destination.
"Here we are!" He exclaimed, hopping out of the car. He opened the door for me and I stepped out staring up at the intimidating building. "A... bar?" He grabbed my hand proudly. "Yup! I figured you could need a drink, especially after what you told me on the drive here." I was clearly confused. "But aren't we underage?" He chuckled, practically dragging me to the entrance. "Don't worry, I know someone who'll get us drinks without snitching." I started to shake, suddenly unsure about this 'Henry' guy. Maybe... he isn't so bad. Maybe he's right. Tonight's going to be fun. It has to be.
