Frisk POV:
I woke up, entangled with all of my blankets. I sit up, my eyes gazing over my alarm clock. It was 4 in the morning. I decided to just get up for the day, knowing I wouldn't be able to fall back asleep. I vaguely remember what happened when everyone left. Alphys gave me some medicine for the fever, which made me very loopy. I fell asleep quickly, and the rest is history. I brew up some coffee and then plop onto the couch, turning down the TV volume as I switch to the news channel. "Another group of monsters were attacked late last night by some passerby humans, they are suspected to be in their late teens-" I quickly turn the TV back off, knowing that it would only upset me. I just didn't understand why humans had to be so aggressive towards monsters. I turn the TV back on, calming myself down as I switched the channel to cartoons.
~Time Skip~
"Oh Frisk! You're up early." Toriel glanced at me before rushing into the kitchen. "Ah.... yes. Good morning, mom." No response. I sighed as I got up to follow her into the kitchen. "Is there anything I can help with for breakfast?" She smiled at me. "No, my child. You just rest on the couch." I guess it was understandable for her to be mad at me for leaving, but I suppose I wasn't exactly expecting it. Most people wouldn't even think she was angry, but Frisk had spent enough time with her to know when she was upset. "Okay, mom." Frisk went back to the couch and waited for breakfast to be made.
~Mini Time Skip~
Shortly after Frisk had sat back down onto the couch, Asgore got up from bed. They ate breakfast, an awkward silence looming over them. Toriel cleared her throat, catching everyone's attention. "After breakfast, I want to make a trip to the store. But I want all of us to go." Frisk looked down in shame. It was her fault that Toriel now felt an incline to watch over her at all times. "I think that's a great idea! We can get some family time, and get the chores done." Asgore said, in hopes to lighten the mood. I smiled, trying to push down all my feelings once more. "Yeah..." As soon as everyone finishes breakfast, we all pack into the car. The car ride is long and silent, except for the faint singing of the radio. Usually, we would be talking and singing to the radio, but this time is different. Frisk twiddled her fingers out of boredom. The car ride usually takes about 20 minutes because the closest market is between the human town and monster town. We all get to the store and head our separate ways. So much for family time...
I smirk as my eyes travel up and down the isles of chips. "Um... hey." I whip around to see and boy who looks to be around my age. He has short black hair, he's tall, and he's in great shape. I can feel a blush creep onto my face. "Do I... do I know you?" He chuckled, scratching the back of his neck. "No, actually. But I was wondering if I could have your number so we could go grab a bite sometime?" I'm blown away that someone like him, wants to go out on a date with someone like me. At the moment I have dark circles under my eyes, my hair is thrown into a short messy bun, and I'm still in pajamas. I look around the isle. "Me?" He laughs, which only makes me blush more. "Yes, you. I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable." I giggle, as I pull out my phone. "Okay, you can have my number." So we exchanged numbers, bid out goodbyes, and parted ways. I rush out of the isle, forgetting about the chips. I quickly make my way to the front of the store to find Toriel checking out. "Where's Asgore?" She questions. I shrug, and walk to the gumball machines, taking some change out of my pockets. I'm still in awe that I even caught that guys attention, considering how... flattering he was. I sigh as I pop the gumball into my mouth and trot back to Toriel. As we arrive home, my phone vibrates in my pocket. "Oh my god it's the guy!" I whisper as I struggle holding the grocery bags and my phone at the same time.
I rush to help unload the car and then run up to my room. I jump onto the bed and check the text. "Hey, it's that guy you met at the store! What day do you think would be good for our date." I text back, thinking over my words very carefully. "Anyway would be good! How about tomorrow at 5?" It takes him a second to respond. "Sounds good!" I smile as I exit my room, to go find one of my parents. "Hey Dad?" He looks at me before humming in response. Are we busy tomorrow at 5?" He paused, and think for a moment. "I think I heard Toriel talking about a meetup tomorrow." I freeze up at his words. "A meetup? Darn it.." Once a month we have meetups. It's basically a thing where everyone comes over for dinner and we chat and hang out. Asgore looks at me, confused. "I thought you loved meetups? Did you have plans for tomorrow?" I put on my smile once more.
"Of course I love meetups! But I did have a date with a friend." Asgore stops what he's doing and turns to me. "A date? Is it a guy?" I giggle. "So what if it is dad? I'm old enough to go on dates." He sighs. "You're growing up too fast." I laugh as I turn to go talk with Toriel. "Hey ma?" She continues to wash dishes, but turns her head to let me know she's listening. "Would it be okay if I were to miss the meetup tomorrow?" She seems utterly confused. "Why would you want to miss the meetup?" I shift uncomfortably. "I have plans with someone." She shrugs. "Okay." I turn, and head back to my room slowly. Yep, she's definitely mad at me. "Is it a guy?" I jump, as Chara appears in front of me. "Jeez, you can't just do that..." I whisper, closing my bedroom door.
"I can do whatever I want!" She declares, crossing her arms. I roll my eyes and open up my computer. "But... we do have something we need to talk about, partner." I flinch knowing exactly what she's going to say. She wants a reset. "No, Chara." She frowns. "And why not?" I look at her sternly, clenching my fists. "Because I made a promise." The promise with the comedian? Well, you already broke the other promise." I do my best to try and ignore her, and just focus on my computer screen. "Why not just break both of the-" I can't hold back my emotions anymore. I stand, and slam my hands down onto my desk. "SHUT IT CHARA!" I breath in and out, my emotions overwhelming me once again. I sit down and continue to login to my computer, huffing. Chara stays silent.
