Frisk didn't want this. Sans didn't want this. But they both knew it had to be done. The battle. Sans backed up as his right eye erupted into blue flames. They seemed to have their own kind of beauty, but they also showed a lot of bravery, sadness, and fear.
Chara started her attacks. All Sans did was dodge. He didn't want to permanently hurt Frisk's body. He had a hope that she would come back and everything would be as it was the mere night before. Chara was obviously enjoying the battle, she was enjoying the pain and fear that was in the atmosphere around them. She laughed and said, "Hey, Frisk, just like the good times. Gosh, we should do it again sometime."
Frisk's mind was flooded with a thousand memories from the genocide run. All the memories that constantly plagued her mind and kept her awake at night. Frisk was still busy trying to move around her body and regain control again. She had to focus. But after a very long time, Sans got tired. Frisk had gotten tired. She knew that neither her, or Sans would be able to keep up with this battle any longer.
So Chara made her final lung, and succeeded. Or so she thought. Frisk had just enough energy to make one final movement on her physical body before giving up. Both her and Chara looked at Sans to see that he was perfectly fine. So everyone in the room slowly looked down at Frisk's stomach.
The dull kitchen knife was embedded in the soft flesh of Frisk's stomach. Immediately, Chara gave Frisk control over her wounded body. Frisk looked up at Sans who still staring at the wound in shock. Frisk fell forward with a small squeak. Sans immediately scooped the small human into his arms and bit back tears.
"K-kiddo........ S-stay with me okay? I'm gonna g-get help soon. Just hang in there." Frisk smiled weakly and put a hand on Sans' skull. "Don't worry, even if I have to spend eternity in darkness, I won't reset. I promise." Sans' eye sockets got wide. Rushed, he said, "Kiddo, no! We need you. I need you. If you don't make it, then please reset. Do it for me." It was at that moment that Frisk lost consciousness. A cold, heavy darkness surrounded her, once again.
