ALEXANDER POV

More thunder. More jumping at every sound. Laf kept looking over to see if I was okay. I'm not. I couldn't belive this was happening, and why in this class.

Lighting was spotted right outside the window and I fell out of my seat. Laf and John came over to comfort me. Mr. Adams started laughing.

"Well if it isn't the foster kid! Scared of storms I see!" He snickers. Everyone except my friends started laughing. I couldn't hear it because the flashbacks started coming in. Why, why now?

~Flashback~

Water everywhere. Buildings and trees falling to the ground, people getting stuck underneath. One comes crashing down on my brother, the only family I have left, gone.

"JAMES!" I yell.

"Run. Alex run and save yourself, please!" He yells back.

"I'm not leaving without you!" I respond in panic.

"Please run!" He yells back.

Before I can respond I'm swept away by a wave of water. I couldn't breathe for what felt like forever, but I couldn't die.

I just lost James, my best friend, my brother. Why does this always happen to me?

~End Of Flashback~

"ALEX SNAP OUT OF IT!" Laf yells, shaking me. John's holding me close to him. I felt safe. Another roar of thunder and I jump closer to him. He continues to hold me.

Washington come running in. He yells for me but I can barely hear him. My hearts racing and I'm breathing fast.

"He- Break- take- home-," Is all I pick up from what Washington is saying. I see Laf nod, Washington picks me up and Laf joins him and I out the door.

The storm is still going on and they try to go outside to the car. I jump out of Washingtons arms.

"NO!" I yell. Heart still racing and that's the first thing I said this entire time. John, Herc, the Schuylers and Maria all come running from the hall. I drop to the floor and all of them except John run up to Washington. John comes and sits by me while holding me close again. I hold my head close to his body, as long as he was here the flashbacks didn't comeback.

"He won't let us bring him home," Laf says calmly.

"Why not?" Angelica ask.

"He won't go outside," Washington responds.

"Why not?" Eliza adds.

"That's for him to tell you," Martha says running into the building.

"Mum they deserve to know," Laf says.

Washing nods and asks, "Alex can we tell them?" I slowly shake my head while I jump at another boom of thunder.

"Well, you guys know the Caribbean island that was almost completely barried in water after a hurricane a year or two ago?" Laf starts.
