Group projects.

You know this one and if you don't, you probably haven't been on Wattpad for a long time.

The nerdy girl gets partnered with the school's player and they now have to do a group project together.

She goes to complain, the teacher ignores her and tells her there is absolutely no way that they can switch and the player hears, causing him to either be hurt or taunt her more.

The pair go to one of their houses (or in the odd story the library) and work together. The player doesn't want to work, leaving the nerd frustrated and hating said player.

After an almost useless session (give or take a few sessions) he decides that he wants food and they drive to a cute little diner (not the topic, but why don't they ever go to a franchise place? It's always this one of a kind diner). She forgot her purse and he offers to pay for her and they actually have a nice time.

Shocker.

The pair work together more, while spending more time with a ton of sexual tension and making snacks and all of a sudden they're friends at school, leaving everyone shocked.

By the end of the project they are a couple and they are ever so grateful that they got paired for the project.

NO.

I don't know if something like this has EVER HAPPENED in real life.

In my experience, group projects are awful, regardless of who your partner is.

One person usually takes charge and delegates what everyone should do by when (usually me), the others don't keep to their deadlines or do half-hearted work and the person in charge is left doing everything.

Group projects test the strength of my friendships, because it shows a whole different side to a person.

If I dislike my friends during a group project, how on earth will I fall in love with a lazy bum who doesn't care about his grades?

Also, in my experience the likelihood of even becoming friends after the project is a stretch. Maybe acquaintances, but the thing is, you don't always get to work with people you like or will potentially like.

How about a story where the main girl does a project with someone she dislikes and still dislikes at the end. It can be a great point of conversation to discuss with their best friend and there won't be any need to fall in love with the best friend (Yes, I did refer to the previous update).
