How are the guys on Wattpad so romantic and thoughtful?

It's cute and everything, but hear me out. The guy that was literally as romantic as a slug to his ex is now some romance ninja, surprising the girl with the most perfect dates and gifts.

Not everyone is romantic and don't even start with the whole 'but for the right girl he will be' crap.

My guy best friend is definitely not a very thoughtful guy when it comes to gifts and things like that.

We weren't dating, but just to add, he asks his best friend for advice regarding presents to give me for my birthday and I had to help him come up with Valentines gifts for his ex.

It just wasn't his strong suit and he was CRAZY about her.

Why not have a male lead that asks for advice or that doesn't plan the perfect date. One that forgets an anniversary, not because he's cheating or doesn't care, but because he is genuinely just terrible with dates.

It makes it more realistic and if he does do something really sweet for his girl, it's has a much bigger impact on the readers and his girl.
