As soon as the door opened and Ashton stepped inside you were in his arms, in desperate need of his warm and comforting embrace.

The joyful sound of his beautiful laugh filled your ears and made your heart skip a beat, which was a nice little break from the anxiety you've been feeling for the last few hours.

"Did you miss me today?" He teased and set his stuff down. As soon as his hands were empty they were in yours as you dragged him over to the couch.

"We need to talk about something important." He could hear the hint of worry in your voice and so he took your hand and gave it a squeeze. "Hey, it's okay. You can tell me anything,"

You took a deep breath before taking the test from under the pillow and putting it in his hands.

He looked at you for a second before looking down. You heard his breath hitch before he looked back up at you. "You're pregnant?"

You lowered your gaze to your hands in your lap and nodded your head.

Ashton was silent for a moment until you heard him sniffle and felt his fingers hook under your chin. When he titled it up you saw the tears in his eyes and the smile slowly pulling at his lips.

"This is amazing!" He threw his arms around you and squeezed you tightly before he realized how tight his grip was and he let you go.

"You're happy?" He looked confused as you asked him that. His eyebrows furrowed a little and he let out a nervous chuckle. "Of course I'm happy. I mean, I'm a little scared but I know it'll be okay because I have you and I know that we can get through anything together, right?"

"Yeah,"

"Are you happy?"

You thought about it for a second and the more you did the more wonderful and heartwarming the thought of having a mini-you and mini-Ashton sounded.

"I am," he stroked your cheek and started to kiss across your face. And when you rested your head on his chest a moment later you could feel how fast his heart was beating.

You felt his hand slip under your shirt and rest over your stomach a moment later. "I've never been so happy. I love you so much y/n and I already love our baby."

And he meant every word.

You could already tell he was gonna he an amazing dad. You couldn't wait for what the future held for your little family.
