Ashton bounced on his feet excitedly. He could feel his heart hammering against his chest as he heard the sound of screams from some of the excited fans that waited for you at the airport.

You've been on tour for four months and even though Ashton was over the moon happy for you, he also missed you like crazy. The house felt so empty without you. He found himself longing to wrap his arms around you and hold you close to his chest. He missed the feeling of your kisses against his lips and skin. He missed running his fingers through your hair and cuddling in his sweats in your comfortable bed whenever you both had days off.

But he was overjoyed because he didn't have to miss those things anymore. And when he turned his head to the left, that's when he saw you.

You looked stunning. You were only in a pair of shorts and his shirt that you stole before you left, and he blushed a bit when he saw that you had it on. When your eyes locked he felt his knees shake a little. He opened his arms and his grin grew wider when you ran right to him and jumped into his embrace.

"I missed you, Ash!" You spoke and he hummed as he squeezed you tightly. "I missed you too, baby. Did you have fun on tour, though?"

You nodded and pulled your face from his neck. "Yes! Oh, Ash, it was incredible! I got to meet so many fans and I went to some really cool places! I even got you a few things!"

He chuckled to himself and kissed your forehead. "That's so thoughtful of you, baby. Come on, let's go home. I wanna give you so many cuddles!" He said as he kissed across your face. Neither of you cared that people were surrounding you both and more than likely capturing the moment for themselves. It just felt so right to be back with him.

He took your hand and wheeled your suitcase in his other one. He wrapped his arm around you when the camera flashes startled you as you exited the airport. "I gotcha," he whispered into your ear and with a smile you put your head down on his chest. "I know."

You got into the car and Ashton put your bags in the trunk before getting in with you. He went to start the car, but you stopped him. "Hey," he turned his head, smiling. You put your fingers under his chin and kissed him softly. "I've been waiting to do that."

"Me too," he said and kissed you once more before starting the car and starting to drive home. He kept one hand on the wheel and the other in yours. He drew circles on your knuckles with his thumb and when he looked back at you when he hit a red light he saw you sleeping with your head against the window.

His heart pounded with happiness and he kissed your hand before continuing down the road and to the house. He took your bags first before he came back to you and carefully lifted you into his arms. He carried you inside and put you down on the couch. You stirred as your back hit the soft cushions. "Hey, babe. We're home."

You caressed his cheek and pulled him down on top of you. He laughed and kissed your temple before rolling onto his back. You laid on his chest, listening to the soft and steady beat of his heart. "Do you wanna go up to the bed, baby?"

You shook your head before looking up at him with a loving gaze.

"I really missed you. Four months without you by my side is pure torture." You said, closing your eyes and leaning against his hand as he stroked your cheek. "It was for me too, y/n. But you're home now and I've got nothing to do with the boys for a week, so I'm all yours."

You sighed in contentment as he held you close to him. "Although, the boys wanna throw you a little welcome home party tomorrow."

You shook your head. "Tell them the day after. I want to spend the entire day with you tomorrow." He nodded and watched as you closed your eyes. "Okay. I'm happy you're home."

You felt his lips on your face, his fingers on your back. "Me too." You mumbled sleepily. Ashton knew you were exhausted. He knows how tiring it is performing night after night for months on end. He would never complain about you falling asleep there on his chest, anyway. You're home. That's all that matters to him. "Love you. Rest up. I'm here with you now."

Even as you slept, your lips still pulled into a smile. His words made your heart beat a little faster against his own.

It was so good to be home.
