Lily wrapped the girl in a tight hug after she had relived the story for another time, explaining to her friends about her past. The boys looked at her with sadness and pity displayed on their faces. Silver hated pity, it made her feel weak and although she knew they weren't purposely making her feel this way she needed them to stop. "So, how about we finish that tour?"
Lily nodded and linked arms with the girl. Silver flicked her wand causing her broom to fly out of James' tight clutch and return back to her dormitory. The Marauders all followed the two girls as they made their way to the Astronomy Tower. Silver walked towards the edge of the tower and looked out over the grounds, her gaze drifted from Hagrids hut to forbidden forest taking in every little detail of the grounds. She spotted a glorious looking tree central of the grounds much bigger than the ones surrounding it, far behind the large tree she saw a worn down shack a far distance away from the rest of Hogsmead Village. "What's that little house way out there?" She pointed grabbing Remus so he could see it too. Silver could feel his body tense at her question causing her to send him a confused look.
Sirius quickly slid between the two looking out at the shack. "Well Princess, that is the Shrieking Shack, it's name given to it due to the evil ghosts that haunt it, but don't be frightened my dear I wont let them get you." He sent her a cocky grin as he placed his arm around her shoulders. Shrugging away his arm, Silver continued to look out at the view until James could be heard groaning for the fifth time in a row. "Can we please go somewhere else I'm so bored." He whined elongating the 'd'. Lily giggled helping James stand from where he had been sat on the floor. Silver smiled and nodded following the group back down the stairs.
The Marauders had spent the remainder of the day showing Silver everywhere from the classrooms to the library, which she knew the James and Sirius didn't spend much time there. They had reached the common room of Gryffindor tower just in time to change ready for their evening meal. They all agreed to meet down at the Great Hall in twenty minutes allowing Lily and Silver to remove the feathers from their hair that James had 'accidentally' blown all over them. The girls waved goodbye as they made their way into their separate dorm rooms. Silver found herself met with two girls sat on their beds in deep conversation which had been broken by the girls arrival. She smiled at the two girls before making her way to her own bed, the sunlight pouring through the window onto her bed.
The girl on the bed closest to Silver stood and walked towards her with the other girl following behind her. The girl in front had black hair that almost had a green shimmer in the light, she was very pale which complimented her deep green eyes. She stuck out her hand with an attempted smile which looked more like a grimace at the need for an awkward meeting. "Hi, I'm Ivy and the squealing git behind me is Tillie." Ivy chuckled at the girl behind her who slapped her arm at the comment. She stepped out from behind Ivy and gave her a warm smile which she returned.
"Hey, I'm Silver. I guess we're going to be roommates for the rest of our time here." The two girls nodded, Tillie had made her way to sit next to Silver on her bed. "So, I saw you hanging around with the Marauders, are they your new friends?" Silver giggled to herself at the question and nodded in response, making Tillie jump up. "Oh really? I have really wanted to be friends with them since first year but Ivy was too nervous to speak to them because she doesn't want Remus to know she has a crush on him." Tillie laughed at Ivy who had thrown her pillow at the girl but still had not denied the claim. Interesting. The three girls continued to talk about how her first full day at Hogwarts had been, Silver excluded the story about her past school as she didn't have the strength to retell it again. After they had gotten ready they headed down to the Great Hall for dinner.
"I'm telling you Lilypad, you're going to regret wasting all this time rejecting me when you finally go out with me and see how much valuable time you have lost." James was leaning across Sirius towards Lily who remained looking uninterested and bored. She put down her forkful of potatoes and sighed, seeing Silver walk through the main doors with two girls. She smiled and waved at the three girls indicating them to join her and the boys. An idea planted in her mind when she caught Sirius' gaze that happened to fall on Silver and hadn't moved yet.
