"So you're a dog, you're a tiger, you're a rat and James is a stag?" Remus raised his eyebrow the the three in front of him. Silver was currently sat on Sirius' bed pulling his hair into a ponytail at the back of his head, Sirius was polishing his broom as she did so. Peter was sitting on the floor next to Remus who was on his bed questioning them on their transformations. "Yep, I'm Padfoot, Peter's Wormtail, James is Prongs, Silver's Cub and you're Moony." Sirius explained screwing the lid back on the polish jar. Remus chuckled and nodded, "So, are you two ready for the quidditch game? You haven't spoke to James since the whole thing started are you sure you'll be okay?" Remus' voice sounded strained with an underlaying tone of worry.
"We'll be fine Moony. Now Sirius, if you move one more time instead of putting your hair up I'll shave it all off." Silver spoke unsympathetically. Sirius spun around to face her and pouted, "You wouldn't." Silver narrowed her eyes playfully at the boy nodding, Sirius immediately looked back straight and remained completely still as Silver finished his hair. They had just began to prepare to leave to make their way to the quidditch pitch, when Ivy bursted through the dorm door. "I swear you better beat those Slytherin scum." She declared, upon seeing the cothing Silver was wearing she gasped. "What in Merlin are you wearing?" The Veela looked down at her black sports leggings and red top, "What's wrong with it? James hasn't given me my scarlet robes yet." She frowned up at the girl, Ivy marched over to Sirius' wardrobe and began searching through his clothes. "Ivy, what are you doing?" Remus chuckled now standing up from his bed. "There it is." Ivy announced as she threw at hoodie at Silver, she unfolded it and smiled. "Really Ivy? All of that just to find a Gryffindor jumper?" She giggled pulling the sweatshirt over her head.
"Welcome everyone to the first Gryffindor game of the season, today we have Gryffindor against the leading champions Slytherin who have previously won their first game against Hufflepuff. The teams are currently in the changing rooms and the game will be commencing in ten minutes." Remus informed the stands filled with students of all ages and all houses, or at least those who enjoyed Quidditch as he stood behind the microphone with Professor Mcgonagall by his side as he commentated on the game. Meanwhile, Silver, Sirius, James and the rest of the Gryffindor were preparing for the game. "Ok Oliver, Slytherins prefer to use the outer hoops so make sure you have a constant watch on them. I want Tom to be the main chaser today so Ava focus on the interceptions and let him do the scoring if you can. Jordan, their beaters will be aiming the bludgers at our players trying to take some of us out so keep your eyes open for that." James spoke calmly avoiding the gazes of Silver and Sirius and ignored their existence. This created an awkward for the other on the team who remain silent and nodded.
"Welcoming Slytherin to the pitch guided by their captain Lucinda Talkalot playing as head chaser today. With Skye Parkin and Cassius Warrington joining her as chasers. Lucian Bole and Sam Vincent will be playing as beaters, Emma Vanity as Keeper and finally Regulus Black as seeker. Give them a hand as they fly their warm up lap around the pitch." The Slytherin stand roared with cheers as they team flew by while the other houses gave them a half hearted clap. "Now, welcoming in the Gryffindor quidditch team who have made a change to their members since last season. Here come James Potter the Gryffindor seeker and captain followed by their keeper Oliver Brown, beaters Sirius Black and Jordan Jones and finally their chaser Ava Golding, Tom Smith and their newest player Silver Snape." The stands lit up with cheers and screams as the team flew past them, Silver spotted Lily sitting with Marlene and Alice as they watched James play past them sending her a wink. She found Peter and Ivy sat next to Remus, the three of them sent her a quick wave and an encouraging smile. The players all took their positions on the pitch as Madame Hooch walked out onto the pitch holding a large trunk, known to contain all the quidditch balls.
Silver turned to Sirius who was behind her and smiled, "Protect me, Black." The boy smiled and rubbed his thumb over the engraving on his bat. "Always, Princess." He ginned back clutching the bat with a strong grip. "Now you know how fast you are, ignore what James said; get that quaffle, score and win the game for us." He sent her a wink before turning his attention back to the game. Silver smiled to herself and did the same. James had now stepped forward and was shaking hands with the Slytherin captain, the two hopped back on their brooms and Madame Hooch began unlocking the trunk. " Keep it clean now players. I don't want anyone hurt this time." As she finished the two bludgers flew into the hair along with a small golden ball moving at the speed of light, Silver was thankful she wasn't the one who had to catch it. She fixated her gaze on the quaffle in the coaches arms.
