"Hey Jamie, have you seen Sirius?" James turned around to see Silver leaning on the doorway. He shook his head as he packed away the bags he got from Hogsmeade that afternoon. Silver sighed and flopped on her boyfriends bed, "I've been looking for him for the past half hour." James chuckled and turned back to her with a mischievous smirk on his face, "I know how to find him." Silver sat up, furrowing her eyebrows and tilting her head to the side. "Silvers an unpopular and useless nerd that no one likes!" James shouted out the doorway of the dorm. Silver stood from the bed and smacked him upside the head. Sirius bursted through the door into the room and jumped on James, wrestling him to the ground. "First of all-"
"Sirius get off him." Silver giggled and pulled the boy off James. "Me, Lily and Ivy ares staying in our own room tonight with Tillie and are going to have a girls night with face masks and everything. So you've got your bed to yourself." She giggled as she pulled his hair from his face. Sirius' face lit up with excitement and Silver shook her head. "No Sirius, you cannot join girls night." Sirius frowned and lead on the bed, Silver pressed a gentle kiss on his head and walked out in the direction of the common room. Sirius groaned and turned over to James, "What's the plan for tonight then?" James smirked and closed his trunk. "I have an idea."
Sirius and James were in the third floor corridor, currently dress in polished silver armour. The armour was shiny, but in some places rusted. There were still cuts, scrapes and dents from when it was used. The pair paraded around the corridor in the armour while the rest of the castle slept. Sirius swung round to James with a smirk on his face, "Wanna get our broom?" The pair raced to the brooms and returned to the corridor.
"I, Sirius Orion Black, challenge you, James Fleamont Potter to a dual." Sirius spoke with his chest in the air and a confident smirk playing on his face. James mounted his broom, "I, James Fleamont Potter, accept you challenge." The pair tightened their grips on the brooms and launched themselves at each other narrowly missing. The turned and faced each other once again.
"Three..."
"Two..."
"One, charge!"
The launched towards each other again but before they could make contact they were frozen on their brooms unable to move. "What in Merlin's Earth do you think you are doing?" A stern voice rose from the left of them. The boys snapped their heads around to see Professor Mcgonagall wearing a baby blue nightgown with a matching hat. The pair had to cover their faces with the armour to stop themselves breaking out into laughter. "What do you have to say for yourselves?" She shouted upon seeing who was in the armour.
Sirius smirked at James and turned around to the professor. "Minerva Mcgonagall, what do you think you are doing out this late?" Sirius said in the same sten voice Mcgonagall had only moments earlier. The professor stood their speechless for a moment, unsure of how to handle this. Before she could say anything, Sirius had gotten off his broom and taken the helmet off. "We were worried sick! You could have been dying!"
Mcgonagall shook her head snapping out of her confused trance, "Hogwarts is the safest place in the wizarding world." She replied trying to figure out what to say next. "That's what they said about Pompeii. You know what happened? BOOM!" James shrieked in laughter as he fell off his broom, unable to contain his giggles any longer.
"Nice try, Black. Off to bed you two, I'll see you in detention tomorrow afternoon." She said turning around about to return to bed. "Professor, your nightgown makes you look absolutely captivating." Sirius said as he smirked at the James, the teacher didn't bother turning around instead she shouted, "Flirting is not going to work, Sirius."
"We were studying!" James called after her, removing his helmet. Professor Mcgonagall turned around looking rather amused, "You put on the suits of armour from the third floor corridor and rode down the hall directly towards each other shouting charge?" Sirius stepped up to the professor and smirked, "It was muggle studies, we were recreating an old fashioned muggle duel!" He argued, trying not to laugh. The professor shook her head and chuckled, "I'll see you tomorrow boys." She briskly walked away before the boys could argue anything back.
