Solution

I find my mother outside of Polis collecting herbs.

"We need to get them out." I say.

"How?" She looks at me. "Roan has them in the dungeon."

"I could sneak them out."

"If he found you, you would die." She says sitting on a rock.

"There is a tunnel in the temple. If I could get them there then I can save them all. Once at Arkadia we will find a way to make Roan see that he needs them like they need us." She looks away before speaking.

"It is a risk. Azgeda might retaliate if you do this." She looks at me again.

"It's a risk I am willing to take. Will you help me?" She nods standing up.

"What do you want me to do?" I tell her my plan before leaving her to go back to the tower. I get to the tower making my way to the dungeon.

I sneak down to the dungeon looking over my shoulder for anyone. I am about to turn the corner when I stop, hiding. I peak around the corner to see Roan coming out of the dungeon. I watch the warriors follow him after locking the door. Once gone I make my way to the door, looking in. 

I look in to see everyone from Skaikru there except Octavia. I wonder where she is? I look around when I see keys on a hook. I grab them unlocking the door. I push the door open, everyone's heads going up. Bellamy looks up. I make my way over to him. 

"What are you doing?" He asks.

"Getting you all out." I unlock the cuffs. I go to Kane doing the same before handing him the keys. He goes around unlocking everyone's cuffs. I go back to Bellamy.

"What's the plan?" He asks rubbing his wrists.

"I know a place where we can sneak out." Once everyone is freed, I lead them through the halls, looking to make sure no one is following us. We make our way to the temple. No one is there except my mother. 

"Abby." Kane walks up to her. they hug then kiss. I look at Bellamy, rising my eyebrow before looking back at them. They turn looking at us.

"When did this happen?" I ask.

"Well you were gone." Mom says blushing. I smile, happy. She deserves this. I walk to the door opening it. The Skaikru people go in. Once everyone but Kane and us are through. I turn to Bellamy.

"You're not coming?" He says.

"I can't." I grab his hands. "I need to stay for both our people." He stares down at me when we hear a bang at the door. I look at it before looking at them. "You need to go." Kane is about to go when the door opens. Warriors flood the room, swords pointed at us. I put my hands up as Roan walks in.

"I knew you would do this. Betray us." He says walking to me. 

"I did this to save us all." I lower my hands staring up at him. "You know we need them just like they need us."

"Take them." I watch as my mom, Kane and Bellamy are taken away. "Not the healer." Roan says to a warrior. They let mom go. She looks at me before walking out. I look back at Roan.

"Are you going to kill me?" I ask.

"I should. You betrayed me. Betrayed our people. If they found out..."

"They would demand my blood." I continue his sentence. He nods. 

"They will never know. I cannot lose you." He says before turning and walking out. 

I follow him take Kane and Bellamy to the main square. The kneel before everyone as they surround the area. I stop, watching them as Roan looks at his warriors and the people of Polis.

"These last months have been hard." Roan says. "We have never had hard times like this. I believe that it is because of Skaikru. They have brought so much sorrow, so much pain to us. So much death. If it wasn't for them our Commander, Lexa would not be dead. The city of light would not have found us. Skiakru is the cause of this pain. Many of their people have escaped but two did not." He looks down at them. Bellamy turns his head looking at me. "They will die for the crimes of their people."

People cheer, raising their swords. I look around before looking back at Bellamy. Roan looks at me before walking up to Kane and Bellamy. I stare at him as he takes out his sword. Bellamy keeps his eyes on me. This is the second time he has been close to death. Roan's sword up, ready to cut off his head. I run towards him, taking out my own sword. 

I get to him as he swings it. I put my sword out, stopping him from cutting Bellamy's head off. Our swords clash against each other. He looks at me.

"I will not let you kill him." I say.

"You defend him? He is not one of us?"

"He could be. If you let them." I say. He takes his sword away. 

"Take them to the dungeon. Clarke goes to the tower." Warriors grab me taking me back to my room. For two days Roan does not speak to me. He finally lets me out, letting me come to the throne room and listen to grievances. I radio Raven again asking the plan. She explains to me that they are planning to use the ark. 

I stand in the throne room listening to ambassadors. Roan sits on the throne, bored. I am about to ask to leave when the door opens. Echo comes in pushing Kane and Bellamy in. Bellamy has a gag in his mouth and his hands tied in front of him.

"What is this?" I ask.

"Tell them what you know." Echo says to kane.

"I know nothing." Echo turns as another person is pushed to the ground. I look at Bellamy who looks over to see a guard from Skaikru.

"Tell him." She says pushing the gag down of the other boy. The boy looks scared. Echo looks up at us. "They are building their ship."

"What do you mean?" He looks at me as I step closer. He looks back at Echo then Kane. 

"I have been here. I know nothing." Kane says. Roan looks at echo who goes up behind the boy. I look away as he slits his throat.

"Take them back to the dungeon. Send scouts to Arkadia to find out what they are doing. Once we know we will proceed." Echo bows leaving. Bellamy stares at me before being pulled out. 

I turn to Roan before walking out. I find mom, telling her what is happening. She lets me know that she is leaving. Raven radioed her to ask for her help, saying that they found a lab that could be a solution. I let her go, deciding to remain here. I walk with her to the edge of Polis.

"Be safe." I say.

"You too." She grabs my face staring in my eyes before pulling me into a hug. i hug her back, not knowing when the next time i'll see her. She pulls away walking to where the guards from Skaikru are waiting with the rover. 

I walk back into Polis, hoping to save Bellamy and Kane. A week passes and still no word from Raven or my mom. I am getting worried. Another week passes. Roan has brought Bellamy to me five times since mom left. We spend the night together before he goes back to the dungeons. I do not know what he is planning, he barely speaks to me. 

I am walking down the hallway when my radio goes off. I find a room that no one is in. 

"Raven what is it?" I ask.

"We are sending a team to the lab. Abby believes that she can make nightblood." She says.

"Nightblood? How?"

"I do not know how exactly but she and Jackson have figured it out."

"Alright. What do you need from me?" I ask.

"We need you to get Roan to trust us. If we can make everyone night bloods then we all survive." I nod even though she can't see.

"I will try. He hasn't been speaking to me, feels I betrayed him."

"You have to try." She sounds worried.

"I promise to get him to agree." 

"Alright." The radio goes silent. I walk out of the room, not sure how but I have to convince Roan that this may be our only way to save everyone.
