Who is the Enemy?

Days pass. We help Octavia in trying to get the eye down. Echo is a spy on Diyoza's ship while we are here waiting. Everyday I fear that Octavia will take Madi from me. 

Bellamy and I discover that Octavia took worms from the sand. They have been hatching them in secret to see if they can kill people fast. Octavia soon finds us in here telling us her plan. They are going to release them in the valley, killing all the prisoners.

Bellamy fears that his friends will get hurt. That the one's who defected will die. Octavia doesn't see that. She only see's the war, not the destruction that war could cause. 

I make a deal with Diyoza, never thought I could but to save Madi and our friends I will. If we take out Octavia then Diyoza will let us come to the valley in peace. Bellamy doesn't like it. I manage to sneak away from them. They use to call me Wanheda. I may not have been her for six years but she never went away.

I sneak along the corridors, making sure no one is around. I walk into her room to see her talking to Indra. 

"Clarke? What are you doing here? Get out." She yells at me. I bring my gun up, pointing it at her.

"She's here to kill me." She says.

"I won't let you hurt Madi." I say. She gets up moving towards me.

"I don't want to hurt Madi. She's my blood. I would never hurt her but are you sure about her father." I frown staring at her.

"What do you mean?" My hand shakes as I hold the gun. 

"Bellamy is planning something. We need to get to him before he does it." I stare at her slowly lowering the gun. 

"What do we need to do?"

Bellamy POV

Days have passed. I hate that Clarke wants to kill my sister but I do understand she fears that something will happen to Madi. 

Gaia met with me a few days ago. She thinks that Madi should become the commander. I told her over my dead body. Now I wonder if we should. I know I told Clarke I would never do that. I would be betraying her. I walk into the tech room to find Monty working. 

"Where is everyone?" I ask. 

"Harper and Madi went to get food, should be back soon. Clarke disappeared." He goes back to the computer. I turn as Madi and Harper walk in. Madi runs to me, I catch her holding her.

"I got to meet some of the kids today."

"You did?" I smile at her.

"They are a bit older than me and warriors."

"They are apart of Wonkru?" She nods as I frown. "Come." I put her down, taking her hand. "I have someone I want you to meet.

We walk down the hallway to where Gaia is. I don't know how Madi will feel about this. I keep looking around to make sure no one is following us. I keep thinking someone is. We walk into a room. Madi stops staring at Gaia. 

"Nomon told me about you." She says. "Told me not to trust you."

"I am not going to hurt you Madi." Gaia says kneeling in front of her.

"I don't want it." She whispers. "I don't want to become the commander." Gaia looks at me, worry on her face. I kneel down beside Madi.

"Madi we need to stop Octavia. This is the only way." She shakes her head. I don't want to do this but I grab her sticking a shot in her neck. She falls into my arms, asleep.

"Come. If we are going to do this then we need to be fast." I carry Madi out of the bunker to where Gaia has set up. Night is falling. I know that I could hurt Madi but I see no other way to stop Octavia without killing her. 

Night falls completely. Followers of the flame surround the building, waiting for their commander. I stand beside Madi, waiting for her to wake up. We can't put it in without her being awake. A rush of footsteps run in. I turn to see Wonkru standing at the entrance, guns pointed at us. I put my hands up when I see her walk around the warriors.

She stops staring at me. I slowly lower my hands as she walks up to me. She stops before me, glaring into my face. She raises her hand, slapping my face. My head snaps to the side. I look back at her, betrayal and hurt across her face.  She rushes around me, going to Madi as Wonkru moves into the room. 

"Is she okay?" She asks Gaia.

"We haven't done it." Gaia says.

"She's not the commander?" Gaia shakes her head. I let out a breath, closing my eyes. In a way I am thankful that she made it in time to save her. I realize now I made a mistake. Madi could have died. I open my eyes to see Octavia glaring at me.

"Did they do it?" Octavia asks Clarke.

"No. We made it in time."

"Take them to the rover." A warrior steps up to help her. I stand there watching as she walks pass me. I stare down at her as she walks out of the building.

"Arrest the traitors." Warriors grab me, dragging me out of there.

They take me to the pit, tying my hands behind me and gaging me. I kneel before Wonkru as they yell, demanding my head. Octavia announces that Gaia, Indra who was in on the plan and I are to fight to the death tomorrow. After that they will march to the valley.
