Orders

The girl and I walk for what feels like hours. She isn't heavy but she isn't actually helping. We stumble over some rocks, making us fall. We fall to the ground, mud covering us from the rain the previous night. I push myself up looking around to see the girl staring at me, confused. I wipe  the mud off my face before getting up. I pull her up, holding onto her as we continue to walk.

We break through the tree's to see the camp. I smile thinking of a home. I haven't had one of those in a long time. Pain comes up my leg, causing me to fall. I look at it to see blood spreading across my leg. I look up to see guards running towards us.

The girl cries out, saying her name as they grab me, dragging me in. I look around to see the men and woman who watched me walk in a few days ago. Now I am the enemy. Just as we are about to get to the ark my mom stops them.

"Abby you know Kane's orders." A woman says.

"I do." She says. "But that's no grounder, that's my daughter." She runs up to me, smoothing her hand over my face.

"Nomon." I mumble into her hands before darkness claims me.

I open my eyes to see a blurring person above me. I close my eyes, blinking a few times, moaning as I start to feel the pain from my leg.

"Shh." My mother says looking down at me. I finally see her fully.

"Nomon." I say, half-smiling. She moves her hand to my head. "Am I?" I look around to see I am in a tent.

"Your safe. It was a mistake." She smiles, staring down at me. I look over to see a man in the corner.

"Is she going to be okay?" I look up to see a guard in the doorway.

"She will be." Mother says glaring at her before looking at me. I stare at the guard, watching her leave before looking back at her.

"I thought you were dead." I say. "That you had left and died."

"I am sorry I left. But I could no longer live the life you and your father lived. I was tired of patching him up after every fight or battle. I heard when he died. I was living in a Trikru village. They had taken me in since I was a healer." She smiles down at me, wrapping my leg with cloth. "I was out, looking for herbs when they found me. I pretended at first to not understand them, tried to fight them. Eventually Marcus won me over. He has a way with people."

"I could tell." I mumble.

"He does not understand our land, our ways. They are strange to him. He even admitted to it but he knows that in order to survive, sometimes we need to adapt."

"That is true." I sit up, trying to hold back the pain I am feeling. I stare at her before pulling her against me. "I'm sorry. I have missed you all these years." She nods into my shoulder holding me closer.

I finally pull away, swinging my legs over the edge.

"Take it slow."

"It's alright. I've been through worse." I say standing up. I hold onto the bed for a moment before walking too where my pants are. I lie them on and then get my boots. Once on I grab my jacket walking out of the tent. I look around, seeing there people working before moving towards the gate. I can't stay here. I stop when I see him.

He is coming through the gates with Murphy, Finn and Octavia. He looks around when he see's me. I let out a breathe I didn't know I was holding before running towards him. I don't know why I am running but I feel like if I don't I will die.

I run up to him, throwing my arms around him. He's surprised at first but soon wraps his arms around me. We hold onto each other, our heads tucked into each other's shoulders. His arms tighten as he holds me.

I pull back looking at him, a huge smile on my face. He tries to smile but I see sadness too.

"What is it?" I ask, worried.

"We did something." He says.

"Did what?" I ask when the gate opens. We turn to see Marcus and another man walk in.

"Where is he?" Marcus asks walking up to Bellamy. Bellamy looks down before looking towards Finn who is standing beside a girl. He marches up to him grabbing his shirt. "What did you do?!" He yells at him. "What did you do?!"

"I don't know." He spits out. I look at Bellamy and then Marcus. Putting the facts together.

"Did you kill someone?" I look back at Bellamy.

"Not me but he did. An entire village." I put my hand over my mouth to hide the gasp. "He was lost. Angry that our people where taken."

"I told you I would help. That I could show you that it wasn't my people." I stare at him.

"Now they want him." He points at Finn. I turn looking at him before backing away. Bellamy tries to grab my hand but I hold my hand up. He stops staring at me.

"You have no idea what you caused." I say. He tries to walk towards me but I shake my head. "You have brought death to us all." I look at Finn. He looks down, ashamed. He should be. I look back at Marcus. "How do you know about this?"

"I met your commander." He says.

"You met Lexa." I raise my eyebrow. "And lived?"

"We have come to an understanding." He says looking at Finn. I follow his gaze and know what will happen. Finn must die for the crime he did.
