Conclave

A few hours later I wait in a room. No one knows what I am doing, not even Bellamy. I haven't seen him since after the meeting. He went off with Kane to figure out what to do next. A warrior comes to the door, letting me know they where ready.

I walk into the throne room to find everyone there. Gaia is smiling at me as I step pass everyone up to her. I feel Roan's eyes on me. He knows the truth but I hope he doesn't say anything. I accept the spirit and am ready to take the flame. Gaia has it close to my neck when Roan stops us. This is what I was afraid of.

"This is a lie." He says. I stand up moving to him.

"This is how we save our people." I glare up at him.

"You mock our beliefs."

"They are my beliefs too." We stand their glaring at each other.

"What is going on?" Indra asks.

"Bring in the healer." I turn to see Echo coming in, my mom behind her. She looks at me before looking at the others. "Tell them." I shake my head at her.

"Clarke is not a true nightbleeder." My mom announces to the room. "She was made through science." I close my eyes. Everything I thought I could do is gone. I thought I could save everyone.

Gaia decides that a conclave will be held. One representative from each clan will fight. The last warrior remaining, that clan will have the bunker, locking the rest of us out.

I walk to my room, looking out over Polis. A hand goes to my shoulder. I lean in to him.

"Why?" He asks.

"I thought I could save us." He kisses my head, wrapping his arms round me. We stand like that for a long time till it is time. He goes to talk to Octavia. She is fighting for Skaikru. I find Roan. Hoping to stop him.

"Let me fight." I say.

"No." He glares at me. "You broke my trust. I still cannot believe you would do that. Fake being a nightbleeder." I look away, feeling a little ashamed. "If I die it will not matter. But if I win you will not be in the bunker with Azgeda." I stare at him again before turning. I walk to the throne room to wait.

The horn blows. The warriors released into the streets of Polis. I stand on the balcony, waiting. One after the other another warrior falls. Night falls and I see only a few warriors remain. I cannot stay here. I go to my room. I am almost there when someone hits me over the head, knocking me out.

Bellamy POV

I stand on a balcony, wondering where Clarke is. Is my sister still alive? I look out over polis, staring at the night. I am about to turn away when I see something fly out of a building and hit one of the warriors fighting. It is a red arrow. I've seen that before. Azegda. I look around before making my way towards them. Trying to stay out of sight. I walk into a room to find the warrior at a window holding a bow and arrow. I try to sneak up when they fire an arrow at me. It almsot hits me but I duck out of the way before it can.

I run towards them, knocking the arrow out of the way. I kick them, knocking them to the floor. I knock the mask off that they are wearing and see the one person I didn't think would do this, Echo. I snarl, rapping my hands around her neck, chocking the life out of her for taking my friends and everything we had.

She is almost gone when I am kicked out of the way. I look up to see Roan standing above them.

"I knew you couldn't stay away." He says to me, holding his sword out. "I heard you all the way down the street. Your lucky I'm not a scout." He smiles.

"I came to stop her." I say looking at Echo. Roan follows my gaze.

"Explain yourself?" Roan says walking up to her.

"I was only trying to help save our people." She says.

"I am not my mother. I am not willing to cast aside honour for power." He says.

"No one has to know." She steps towards Roan, keeping an eye on me.

"You misunderstood me. I will not allow you to dishonour Azegda and what is left of us. You are banished and no longer Azegda." He says.

"Sire?" Echo tries to intercede but Roan glares at her and soon she leaves. Roan watches her leave and then turns back to me holding his sword out to me.

"If you're going to kill me get it over with."

"I take it by your presences here that your sister is still alive."

"She is."

"If I call for a scout she'll be executed right now. You really think she can win, can't you?" He says, believing me.

"Don't count her out if I was you."  I say proud of her. "She survived harder things than that and she will survive this."

"After I kill you, when I kill her I'll tell her that she was lucky to have you." He says.

"After you kill me and before she guts you, you tell her that I was the lucky one." I smile. He finally lets me go. I get back to the tower only to be knocked out, blackness claiming me.
