Dawn comes, the sand storm ends. I go from warrior to warrior, checking on them. Many have died, more are injured. I move to Indra. She lays on a sand bank, holding her chest. Octavia sits a little ways from her.

"What's wrong with her?" Octavia asks as I check her.

"I think she swallowed some of the sand. We need to get her back to Polis." I say as Copper, one of Octavia's warriors walks up.

"Twelve are dead." She says. "Many are too injured to move on."

"What's the order?" Miller walks up to her.

"We return to Polis." Octavia says.

"Blodreina?" Cooper questions her. She glares at her. Cooper bows giving the orders to the warriors uninjured.

I move to Octavia checking her arm. I will have to rewrap it in Polis. As I am packing my supplies, Bellamy walks up to her.

"I thought I lost you." He says kneeling in front of her. "You were right, Wonkru is strong. Just like their leader." Octavia sits up, grabbing the side of his face. I stare at them as Bellamy grabs her arm.

"I'm glad you're alive, big brother." She pulls him against her. "But if you ever go against Wonkru then you are the enemy of Wonkru." She pulls back looking at him. He stares at her, looking in her eyes. I see fear on his face. He is scared. I haven't seen that look in a long time.

I am about to say something when I hear an engine noise. I look around, wondering if they are back, ready to fire on us when the rover comes around the corner. I smile seeing it. It stops, doors opening. Monty jumps out of the drivers side. I get up as a small figure runs across the sand.

I meet her half-way, picking her up. I twirl her in a circle before setting her down, staring at her face.

"I missed you, Nomon." She smiles. I kiss her head, holding her against me. I look over her head to see Bellamy running up to Echo. He grabs her, kissing her. 

I stare at them, confused. Last night he almost kissed me, why didn't he tell me about her? I pick up Madi walking over to Monty and Harper. I put her down, greeting them with hugs. Madi talks about how they kept her safe in the woods from the prisoners. 

We decide to put Octavia and Indra in the rover. Monty, Harper, Bellamy and Echo will walk back with the other warriors. Copper and Miller come with us, protecting Octavia. We get back to polis. Jackson comes over, taking Indra inside. 

Octavia takes me and Madi to her room so I can wrap her wound probably. Madi stares at the place as we walk in. She has only ever known the valley and the sand. To her this is magical. She sits on a chair staring at Octavia. Once her wound is rewrapped she looks at Madi.

"I can see Bellamy in her." She says, smiling. I look at Madi who is staring at the ceiling. I smile looking back at her.

"Yeah. She is so much like him."

"Does he know?" She asks. I nod.

"Before he knew I was alive he met her. My brave warrior." She walks up to us, tucking herself under my arm. She looks up at Octavia.

"You're my aunt." Madi says.

"I am." Octavia smiles but it fades. I know what she is thinking. 

"We can tell them that I injected her with nightblood." I say. She looks at me. "She knows not to tell anyone." She nods getting up. Madi and I leave her when Miller comes in. 

Madi and I walk outside just as the others are coming back. Bellamy looks at me. His face turns sad. He knows that he betrayed me. I understand but it still hurts. He should have told me. There was many moments where he could have said he had moved on.

I turn, moving to the side as Octavia comes out. Madi looks up at me, worried. I smooth my hands over her shoulders as I watch her walk up to Bellamy and Echo.

"What is she doing here?" Octavia sneers.

"O, please." Bellamy begs but I can see Octavia will not have it.

"I banished her." 

"She is not the same person. She showed that many times on the ring." Bellamy says before looking at me. Hoping I can help.

"This isn't the ring and this isn't the ground. There is no more clans. There is only Wonkru." She turns looking at the warriors. "Wonkru, I banished her six years ago from entering the bunker!" She looks back at Echo and Bellamy. "And I stand by it."

A noise sounds over head. I pick up Madi running to a building. I look out to see a crate falling from the sky. Madi looks out with me as I hold her against me. A speaker is attached to it. Diyoza speaks over it, claiming anyone that is willing to leave Octavia is welcome. The ship will be at the edge of Polis tonight. Food falls out of the crate. 

I see Octavia's face, red with anger. She turns storming back inside. I step out as Bellamy and Echo step out from another building. Madi looks at him and then me.

"Is he my father?" She asks. I look at her and then him. I haven't told her much about him. She knows who Bellamy is. I look back at her as tears burn in my eyes. "It's okay, Nomon." She wipes the tears away. "I've always known." I half-laugh, kissing her head before setting her down. I take her hand walking towards him. 

Madi skips beside me. She has always been this way. Nothing gets to her, But I guess she has had nothing to worry about till now. We stop before them. I pick Madi up, holding her against me. Echo looks at her and then Bellamy.

"Did you know?" She asks. He looks at me and then her.

"I suspected 6 years ago but I was never sure." He says to her. "Echo..." He tries to reach for her but she backs away, walking towards another building. He sigh's looking at me.

"I'm sorry." I say.

"Not your fault. I should have told her." He looks at Madi. I look at her whispering in her ear.

"You should go to him." I say. She looks at me and then him. She wiggles, making me set her down. Bellamy kneels down as she walks slowly towards him. She looks back at me and I smile, urging her on. She looks back at him. 

She stops before him, unsure what to do. Bellamy kneels there, doing the same. They are both a little scared. After a few moments Madi flings herself at him, rapping her arms around him. He is surprised, grabbing her as she knocks him back. He sits on the ground holding her. His big arms rap around her. He closes his eyes, holding her. 

He finally lets go, pulling back to stare at her. Tears fall down his cheeks. Madi wipes them away like she did mine. 

"I don't know what to say." He says. "I should have known about you?" 

"How could you?" Madi says. "You had no way of knowing nomon would live." He looks at me and then back at her. He gets up taking her hand. She reaches over taking my hand as well. We go inside the bunker to find the others. 

"Is she like you?" Bellamy asks as we walk down a hallway.

"Yes. We can't tell anyone. Octavia is worried that people might want to make her the commander." I look at him.

"Over my dead body. She's just a kid." He says. Madi squeezes my hand. I look down at her before looking up at Bellamy. He is staring at us but I see the worry. Octavia could kill her for being a nightblood.

We walk into the room Monty and Harper are working in. They have a computer set up. It soon feels like old times, working along side them. We stay there the rest of the day. At night Madi and I go to one tent. I lie down beside her thinking of what could happen.
