Chapter 50. "Forever with the Prince"
Elyse' POV
"We are now live to interview one of the trending issues about her and her famous father politician. "Welcome to the show." bati sa akin ng host ng isang sikat na TV show.
I didn't expect her to be this straightforward. I smile as I turn my eyes on them, nandoon sila sa audience, kasama ko at pinapanuod ako.
I took a deep breath and smile sincerly as I turn my eyes back to the host.
"Yes, but there is a reason why my father hide the truth." sagot ko at tumingin sa camera. "Just like how he run this amazing province, he did that to protect me. He is a father that will do everything to protect his child no matter what it takes, even if it ruined his life and career someday." malalim akong huminga at muli tiningnan si Dad. He is nodding and smiling at me.
"Is it true that your father abandoned you and your mother?" muling tanong ng host.
I heard the people in this studio gasped like they can't believe what they've heard. "But again, there is a reason behind that." dugtong ko at muling hinarap ang camera.
"He is just a human like us, sometimes he made decision that is beyond his control and made a mistakes. Pero alam niyo po, I didn't felt that I was abandoned. He provide everything I need. He gave everything for me. Hindi siya nagkulang sa akin. The only thing I felt is I am alone but not abandoned. Because I know and I believe that someday, everything will fall to its right place.
I heard a clap and a clap and more claps. I stare at them and I saw them there clapping their hands for me.
Binalikan ko ng tingin ang host and she is also smiling and clapping and said.
"You're free now."
We are here now in a restaurant celebrating the successful live broadcast. They are all here, si Dad, si Tita Veronica, si Venice, si Emerald at Onyx kasama ang kanilang parents, si Loraine at si Yaya Miding.
"We just need to wait again for the poll and feedbacks or reaction of the people." sabi ni Venice habang hawak ang glass ng champagne. "But my sister did a great job." nakangiti niyang sabi sa amin at tinaas ang glass ng champagne. "Cheers everyone!"
