Chapter 37. "When you're gone"
Venice' POV
She is really pissing me off. Dapat ay nagbabakasyon ako sa mga oras na ito but here I am, trying and helping them to find that Goddamn bastard. Mom ordered me to look and find Elyse or to find some information where she is. I tried to call Emerald and asked her in messenger but she didn't pick up my calls or even answering my messages. I also asked favor to the NICE girls to seek informations but until now wala pa rin silang balita. Sakit talaga sa ulo at panira sa buhay ang babaeng 'yon!
I fixed myself and hurriedly get inside my car. I drive as fast as I could and in a few minutes I reach Elyse condo building. Pumasok ako agad ng elevator. Paglabas ko ng elevator ay nakita ko naman ang pagpasok ni Daddy at ng mga body guards niya sa kabilang elevator. Hindi na niya ako nakita. And I guess, galing na siya sa unit ni Elyse.
Naglakad na ako papunta sa unit ni Elyse nang malapit na ako sa pinto ni Elyse ay napatigil ako nang lumabas ang isang pamilyar na lalaki sa katabing unit ni Elyse. We both shocked when we noticed each other.
"Wow, what is Arkin Verceluz doing here? Are you also living here?" Masigla kong tanong sa kanya habang nakangiti. He smiled back.
"Yeah, recently lang." he answered. Napaisip naman ako habang tinitingna siya. Maybe he knows where Elyse is.
"So, you and Elyse are neighbors." pagsisimula ko. Direkta lang naman siyang nakatingin sa akin. Napangiti ako at taimtim siyang tiningnan. "Maybe you know where she is now?"
Hindi siya agad nagsalita o sumagot sa tanong ko. Ngumiti lang siya sa akin at kaunting natawa.
"I don't know where she is. Hindi pa kami nagkikita since semestral break." sagot niya. Wala ka rin pa lang silbi.
Kaunti akong napataas ng kilay habang mataray na nakangiti sa kanya. Honestly, Arkin is really so attractive. He is really popular and good in sports, plus he is also excell in his academics. He is a total package. And I also admire him, but I can't befriend or have a connection with him. He is the son of my father's rival in politics for a long time.
Hindi ko na siya kinausap at inirapan lang saka pumasok na sa unit ni Elyse. Pagpasok ko, nakita ko agad si Yaya Miding na naglilinis ng sala ni Elyse. Nagulat siya nang makita ako.
"Naparine ka, Venice?" tanong ni Yaya.
"Don't mind me, Manang. Kukunin ko lang 'yong hiniram ni Elyse na accesories. I really need that." pagdadahilan ko pero wala naman talagang hiniram sa akin ang babaeng 'yon.
Napaisip pa si Manang pero sumang-ayon na lang din siya.
I actually don't know why I am here. After I confirmed that weird and unexplainable thing I've witnessed. I am really eager to find out who is Yu-jun. And I guess, I can find something here in Elyse house.
