What a mess

Eric POV

I gotta say when I saw Skylar in the living room catching Connor and I and having no idea who he was or what was going on and the look on his face and punching me for reasons unknown, it was definitely something I wasn't expecting. Than his dad says he is also Connor's mate, that I also wasn't expecting. After hearing what he said, I felt bad for the guy. I'd feel the same and get pissed off to.

Connor went over to his house yesterday and came home late at night in a much better mood so I guess they worked things out judging by the smile on his face and the strong scent of Skylar all over him. I need to talk to him and straighten out what he thinks is going on and thinks of me knowing and being with his boyfriend when I had no idea he existed.

I walk into school and see him talking to all the twins and they look toward me and Eli says something and Skylar nods and walks over to my locker and waits for me. He puts his leg up on the locker and crossed his arms over his broad chest. He is wearing a tank top and low on the hip light blue jeans and his muscles look big. I have a good build but not as toned as he is right now.

I get to my locker and open it and put my bag in and grab my tablet and phone and shut it and wait on Skylar to talk since he came to me.

"Listen I heard you didn't know about me, hell it seems I didn't know about a lot. We may share a mate and I don't blame you for anything but I have been with Connor for a little over a month and I even knew about your race and having mates and everything and he didn't tell me I was his mate for reasons I'm not going to share since I'm not sure if you know and I don't want to break his trust he has with me but Eric, I love him and I swear if you hurt a single hair on his pretty head, I will do more than just punch you in the face, wolf or not. He has enough to worry about instead of us fighting so just when your with him, be there for him and treat him like the amazing beautiful kind man he is. I don't know of your past but I heard it wasn't great and I'm sorry for that but I promise you, it isn't a fraction as bad as his is. I will try to get along with you but that is for him only, we aren't mates so I don't see a reason for us to hang out all the time and become friends. I did tell Connor though that when we get to the point where HE is ready, not me nor you but he, is ready to mate, it'll be all three of us together because that moment is to important and intimate to leave one of us out of it. In time I'm sure we will be friends but right now, I'm not sure. I'm not a bad person but I will do anything it takes to make Connor happy and keep him safe, no matter from who or no matter what. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me besides another person and I'll die for him. I hope you feel the same way I do in time." He said all that without looking away from my eyes and I took all he said to heart.

"Honestly I really didn't know about you and him being mates, I promise if I did and knew you were coming over, I wouldn't have kissed him like that with the risk of you walking in
I'm not a dick like that and I'm sorry if you got the wrong impression of me, I'm not a bad guy Skylar and
I understand what you said but I would like to get to know you but it'll be your choice if you want. I'm not going to hurt him, I don't know of his past and I will wait for as long as it takes for him to tell me and to mate, I'm in no rush for that either. I'll do my best to make him happy and love him, you don't need to worry about that." I stated and he got off the locker and nodded, put his hand on my shoulder and I suddenly felt a tiny spark at his light touch.

Are we mates? I asked myself as I watched him walk over to Connor and kiss him and he went to his class and Connor came over to me.

"Hi, what was that all about?" Connor asked and put his arm around my shoulder.

"Just clearing the air. Nothing for you to worry about, ready for class?" I asked and he nodded.

The rest of the day was spent in boring class but no drama and today we all sat together at lunch and no one gave dirty looks or had a bad word to say so I think it went great.

Skylar and I shared looks every now and then in class and in lunch and I felt my cheeks get warm and would look away first. Yes Connor may be a god in looks but Skylar, he is a true beauty. His eyes and smile are so captivating that you just get lost when you look at him. I didn't even get a good look at him at the pack house so seeing him up close for the first time since, I can see why people always check him out, he is just beautiful. Tank even likes how he is looking at us and wants to be closer to him. I will be a presence in his life, one way or another because he is Connor's mate and in time, will be mine as well.

I was surprised when he told me when it is the time to complete the mating that he said it'll be us three because I honestly didn't even think about that. That to me in my eyes made him to be even more beautiful with his selfless thought. I don't know how it will work but we'll worry about that when the time comes.
