Chapter 21

"I can't believe that son of a bitch did that to you!" Jennie furiously exclaimed.

Lisa only sighed, burying her face into her pillow.

"Well, he did" Chaeyoung sighed. She approached Lisa and started playing with her hair. "It's alright, Lisa"

The three girls have gotten really close over the days. Lisa decided to tell Chaeyoung everything and she genuinely was glad that she decided to do so.

"I'm going to beat that ungrateful ass-"

"Unnie" Chaeyoung furrowed her brows. "Let karma do it's thing, yeah?"

"Karma isn't enough" Jennie mumbled. "He basically cheated on our little Lali"

"Look at the bright side, he was honest with his feelings. He didn't two time any longer" Chae tried to brighten things up.

"Are you trying to take his side now?" Jennie arched a brow making Chaeyoung sigh.

"No, what I'm saying is that-"

"Guys, enough" Lisa sat up straight. "He found someone else, no big deal"

The two girls sighed. Lisa thought that her fierce facade masked her desolation. Despite her efforts, the two girls were still able to see how emotionally damaged Lisa was.

"So, Lis" Jennie smirked as she leaned on the wall. "You down for some partying tonight to distract yourself from this whole heartbreak"

Lisa thought about it for a few seconds.

She wasn't a party girl at all. Heck, she hated alcohol.

"Why not?"

I made my way out of the club hurriedly. I may have had a few drinks so I'm feeling pretty fucking light headed. Ugh, bad idea. I shouldn't have come in the first place.

Once I made my way out, I inhaled, taking in the fresh air.

I looked for my car and entered. I brought my phone out and texted the girls that I'll be going home first.

I started the engine, but before I could step on the pedal, my phone rang.

I looked at my phone and there it was my fAtHer.

I raised a brow and picked up my phone.

It's like 1 AM. What the hell does he want?

I pressed on the green button and brought the phone close to my ear, "sajangnim"

That's right, I still can't bring myself to call him father. No way.

"lalisa, I'm sorry if I'm calling very late. Turns out, I have to fly out of the country for an emergency business trip tomorrow. Something bad happened to our business in the USA and they need me as soon as possible. I supposedly have a meeting with Bang Sihyuk tomorrow. We can't pass up this opportunity, Lisa. Bighit is very influencial these days, we need that help. We're slowly losing our spot in the big three"

I don't think I like where this is going.

"So you want me to represent YG entertainment in your place and play CEO for a few days?" I asked unenthusiastically.

"You really catch onto things quickly, huh?" I heard him chuckled, making me roll my eyes.

"don't you have someone else with a high rank to fill in for you? Why me?" I asked.

"I don't trust anyone with this as much as I trust you, Lalisa. Besides, I've been training you for a long time. I'll send you and assistant to manage your meetings and schedules. You will be picked up from your house at about 6 AM. I trust that you will make wise decisions for the company, Lalisa" he said and hung up.
