Chapter 27

Lisa walked out of the YG building with her brother beside her to be greeted by flashing cameras and paparazzis.

"what the hell" she mumbled, confused.

"I mean, this is pretty normal. Just pose, noona" yedam chuckled.

"for you" lisa sighed but smiled at the cameras anyway.

Guards rushed out of the building and made a passageway for the siblings.

"miss yang! Is it true that both of you are half siblings?"

"Don't answer, dad told me to never answer the paparazzi" yedam whispered to his sister who was only a few centimeters shorter than he was.

"mister yang, will you start managing YG?"

"Miss yang! Is it true that you're bangtan sonyeondan jin's adoptive sister?"

"how the hell do they know all this" lisa muttered.

"People are crazy with their digging" yedam laughed. "Trust me, it gets worse"

"you seem used to the spotlight" lisa said and started to walk towards the car waiting for them.

"Of course" yedam chuckled.

They shut the car door and relaxed. "that was tiring" lisa said. "My CEO duties end soon, it'll be fine"

Lisa's phone started ringing. It was Taehyung. Lisa was puzzled, taehyung never really called her before.

"taehyung?" lisa answered.

"ah, Lisa! I know it's so sudden but are you free right now?"

Lisa furrowed her brows. "I have a meeting at eight, what's up?"

"can you come over here? I need to talk to you"

"I mean, I have an hour until my next schedule so I guess"

"great! I'll text you the address. See you lis" he hung up.

Lisa walked into the restaurant taehyung told her to go to.

This better be important.

"lisa!" she heard taehyung call. "over here"

She looked over to his direction and noticed that he was not alone. He had company.

"oh boy" lisa sighed and walked towards them. "hello" she smiled and bowed towards the two people.

"hello" the familiar tall man bowed back and smiled.

She then looked at taehyung for an explanation.

"I invited mingyu over for dinner and I thought you'd like to join. You know, as a thank you for nursing us last night and this morning" taehyung smiled.

Obviously, Lisa couldn't say no so she just went along with it.

"dinner's on me pals" taehyung announced. "let's sit, let's sit"

Once they were seated, as if on cue, the food came and it was pizza.

Lisa was hungry, another reason for her not to reject taehyung's dinner invitation.

Taehyung made her sit next to mingyu for some reason. She felt beyond uncomfortable. She didn't know why taehyung was doing this because who knows what taehyung could come up with that creativeind of his.

"so" Mingyu started. "lisa, right?"

"Yeah" lisa smiled politely. "it's nice to meet you. I admire your group"

"oh thank you" Mingyu embarrassingly said. "I love the music you produce"

"thank you" lisa chuckled.

The awkwardness was so obvious that even the waiters felt it.

"so, both of you are the same age" taehyung said before taking a bite from his slice of pizza.

"Yeah, that's refreshing" mingyu stated and lisa agreed. "so, you know jungkook right?"

"oh I know jungkook, alright" lisa muttered to herself before she looked mingyu and smiled. "I guess you can call us friends"

"but we can agree that he's a brat, right?"

"okay, we're friends now mingyu" lisa smirked. "join my anti jungkook campaign"

"I'd love to" Mingyu laughed. "he sulks so much when he loses a game, it's hilarious"

"right? And he thinks he looks fierce and hot but he just looks stupid" lisa rolled her eyes at the thought.

"guys, I didn't let you meet to roat bangtan's baby" taehyung pouted.

"should've thought twice before inviting me" lisa stuck her tongue out at taehyung who just resumed eating.

"so do you like dogs?" Mingyu asked.

"I love dogs" Lisa's face lit up. "I don't have one though, I'm too busy to take care of one plus no one in bangtan has a dog in their dorm so I just go to dog cafés"

"I have a dog, we can meet up some time so you can meet her"

"Yes, she'd love to" taehyung replied quickly.

Lisa and mingyu confusedly look at the older who just cheekily smiled.

"hey can you guys move closer?" taehyung asked.

"uh, why?" lisa raised her eyebrows.

"that waitress there is my ex. I don't want her to see me. Don't you dare look back and just cover me for a while" taehyung begged.

It's not a doubt that taehyung can act, he got the two convinced somehow.

They uncomfortably moved closer. The awkwardness that was once gone, now returned stronger than ever.

Both of them didn't want to be there. Heck, taehyung didn't even talk to mingyu that much.

Mingyu was shocked when the older suddenly asked him out for dinner and worse, he brought a girl.

"okay you to can move apart now" taehyung said, making the two smile in relief.

Taehyung smirked before he continued his meal.
