The first sensation that you felt was a wracking headache. It's epicenter was just to the left of your forehead. You tried to touch it, but someone grabbed your hand and pulled it back down. You tried to open your eyes, but everything was blurry and unfocused. You thought you could see Sam, but it was so distorted you couldn't be sure.
"... easy, Y/n, just relax," Sam's voice said, although it too seemed foggy and distant," Hold still."
You attempted turning your head to see where you were, but Sam, or whoever the blurry image was, stopped you.
"Sammy, just let her go," Dean's very distant and soft sounding voice said," Just let her come to. If she tries to move too fast or too far, then hold her down. Let her come up for air."
You see Sam, his face a little bit more focused, sit back down on a bed. Still facing you. You could see the golden light reflecting off his shiny, long hair. You tried to focus on that. Eventually, the motel room stopped fading in and out of a blur. Sam was sitting on Dean's bed while Dean packed up a medical kit.
"What happened?" you slurred in a gravelly voice.
"A vampire," Sam said," He came up behind us and hit you on the head. You fell and Dean tried to decapitate him, but he was fast. Very fast. He grabbed your machete and tried to bleed you out."
You tried to sit up, but pain ripped through your left side like a hot poker stuck up inside your ribs. Sam jumped to you and laid you back down. He gingerly lifted your shirt up and showed you where they'd bandaged you up.
"Is he dead?" you ask.
"Yeah," Sam said softly," Dean got him."
You looked past Sam to Dean who was packing up his bags. He glanced at you and you caught his eyes. You smile a thanks to him. He gave you a solid nod, then threw his bags over his shoulders. He walked past you and Sam to the door and out to the Impala.
"We're leaving?" you ask.
"Yeah," Sam said," We're done here. We killed the nest, so any other vamps hanging around will move on."
"Cool," you say," Where are we going now?"
Sam chuckled shyly," Uh... we were thinking about taking you back to Bobby's."
"I don't want to go back to Bobby's," you say, then plead," I want to go with you. I'll stay at the motel, I'll do research, I'll do whatever, just please keep me with you..."
"I just think it would be safer if you went back and stayed with Bobby until you were healed," Sam said," Then we'll come back for you."
You shake your head," I want to go with you."
Dean came back inside and watched you as he picked up the rest of the gear," How are you feeling?"
"I want to go with you," you say," I don't want to go back to Bobby's."
Dean smiled, then looked at Sam," I told you she would. Help her out to Baby."
"Dean..." Sam started.
"Sam!" you and Dean both say.
Sam couldn't help but laugh as he raised his hands up," Alright! Alright... you two-"
"She's got what it takes, Sammy," Dean said, petting your h/c hair reassuringly," I personally am up for her quote, unquote 'tagging along'."
