It was a couple hours after the sunset when Lucifer managed to get everyone into their respective sleeping areas. He had a single guest room and snapped three beds into existence for the 3 hunters. Gabriel and Castiel could share the very large sectional couch if they wanted. Castiel declined the offer, stating he didn't sleep at all. Lucifer didn't argue or push the matter. He simply nodded and said the offer still stands. Then Gabriel pulled him into a lengthy Q&A with him about the city and its sights and attractions.

With Lucifer preoccupied with Gabriel, you and Castiel hung out in the guest room for a while, sitting on the bed Dean claimed. Castiel sat very quietly at the foot of his bed, keeping his hands in his lap. Dean's bed sat partially under a window. Sam's bed sat against the wall opposite of Deans, and Bobby's bed was at the end of the room. It was a small room with the three beds, but it had a large dresser with enough space for everyone to have their own place for their stuff.

"We don't have much in the way of belongings," Bobby mentioned as he placed a single set of clothes in the drawer he deemed his.

"This city's big," Sam said," I bet we can just buy some more."

"We don't have money, Sam," Bobby countered.

"I'm sure ol' Luci's loaded," Dean said, to which Bobby shrugged.

"You're not using Luci for his money," you muttered under your breath.

"He did bring us here," Bobby said," And I wasn't aware we were taking a vacation over here."

"Don't worry," Lucifer broke in, suddenly appearing in the doorway," If you need anything, I'll make sure you get it. It is my fault you're here, so I'll do whatever it takes to make this as pleasant as possible."

Everyone was quiet for a moment, contemplating this assurance. You were suddenly slightly mortified that your hunter family had basically stated they would use Lucifer in front of him. You couldn't even look him in the eye, staring at the ground as you fought the burning redness of your own face.

"We are thankful you're letting us stay," Sam said quickly, seeing your embarrassment," Sorry if we're intruding..."

"No, no no no no," Lucifer cut him off, waving his hands to stop him," I'm glad to have the company. I've been living by myself for almost two decades. It's a nice change to see a full home."

Sam smiled, genuinely. You glanced at Dean and saw with satisfaction he was also smiling. Castiel bowed his head respectfully. Bobby was the only one who wasn't really showing any emotion or going out of their way to thank him. Then again, he wasn't the touchy-feely type of man, and his thanks came far and few between. It would take an Apocalypse to get a thanks from Bobby. Lucifer didn't seem bothered by it. He didn't even seem to notice.

"Do we have an itinerary for this vacation?" Bobby asked with a humorous tone.

"I'm sure you're tired, so tonight you'll rest," Lucifer said thoughtfully," If you'd like to go and shop for clothes and supplies, then we can do that tomorrow."

This seemed to be approved by everyone and the hunters started to settle down, getting ready to sleep. You, Lucifer, and Castiel noticed this and started to file out to leave them to it.

You followed Castiel out to the living room and sat down with him on the couch with Gabriel, who was already streaming some Netflix on the flat screen HD TV on the wall. You didn't recognize the show, but Gabriel was obviously loving it. You looked over the top of the couch and saw Lucifer carrying a bar stool from the kitchen island then set it up right behind the couch. You wondered why he didn't just sit on the couch with you and the angels, then reasoned it was because Castiel seemed pretty cold to him. It would be awkward for both Castiel and Lucifer.

"Luci! You ever seen this show?" Gabriel asked, grinning as he gestured to the TV.

"Yep, over and over," Lucifer responded.

Gabriel laughed good-naturedly," I like that red-head. She's pretty badass."

"Yeah, she is. Right up until Season 3 when she-..." Lucifer was interrupted by Gabriel shushing him.

      "NO SPOILERS!" he hissed.

Castiel broke out into a huge grin, trying to hide his laughter

Castiel broke out into a huge grin, trying to hide his laughter. You were smiling now and laughing at Castiel laughing. Lucifer joined in the laugh and Gabriel felt left out and let out an obnoxious fake laugh. Which only made you laugh more. It was a good feeling, almost like you were back home. Except... now you weren't worried about going off on hunts or taking care of the phone wall or digging graves for Rufus's kills. It was peaceful. Relaxing. Everything was okay. Sure, your back still hurt, but it was manageable right now.

You leaned against Cas's shoulder and closed your eyes. Seductive sleep drew you under and you blacked out. It was a rough day and a mind-blowing evening. Castiel was frozen still, not wanting to wake you. Lucifer noticed your lack of consciousness and leaned over the couch.

"I can take her to her room, if that's alright with you, Castiel," Lucifer offered, humbly asking Castiel for permission.

"Uh... yeah, sure," Castiel stammered, startled by Lucifer's offer, then watched with incredulously as he came around the couch and scooped you up into his arms.

Castiel continued to watch Lucifer carry you away down the hall until he'd fully disappeared. Gabriel had his eye on Lucifer as well, but as soon as he was gone, he returned to the show on the TV. Castiel leaned over to Gabriel.

"What do you think about him?" he asked.

"I think... I'm glad he hasn't stabbed me yet," Gabriel said half-serious, half-joking as he stared at the TV screen," Again."

"Do you trust him?" Castiel asked in a quiet, forceful tone.

"Personally? No. But... Heh, yeah, I really want to," Gabriel said, then met his brother's confused expression," Yeah, I want to trust him. I want to have a relationship with my brother Lucifer that doesn't involve stabbing, Apocalypses, or the terminal end of the world. And if he's how I get that...? That's fine by me, Castiel."

Castiel leaned back to his side of the couch with a low," Alright."

Lucifer returned after a couple minutes and Gabriel offered him the seat next to him. Lucifer hesitated, but then accepted. Then the three angels watched TV until the AM.
