Twenty Two

I wake up to the sounds of beeping.

"someone turn that fucking noise off" i mumble and i hear people chuckle

I open my eyes to see my mom, dad, Jordan and Finn in the room.

"what happened?" i ask

"we should be asking you that" my mom says and i know i'm going to get told off

Then my doctor walks in, "what's up doc?" i ask and she can't help but smile

"well, it looks like you can't stay away from this place" she tells me and i let out a chuckle

"you see i've developed such a great relationship with this place that i just don't want to leave" i tell her sitting up

"why am i wearing this thing?" i ask looking down at myself before getting up and Finn stops me from moving and i look up at him

"lie down" he tells me in a harsh tone and i grumble insults at him and he smirks as i do what he says

"i've heard you did pe today" She tells me

"yeah, what about it?" i ask

"she got very carried away" Jordan says

"it's not my fault! i want to do stuff again" i say annoying

"i know you do, but you have to take it slow. It's a long process" she tells me

"i know that, but i was feeling great. I felt strong and i guess i don't know what happend" i tell her

She nods, "look Holly, if you keep going down the same path it will make it harder for you to recover faster. That is why i'm telling you that you can't do any intense sports until you have a check up in two weeks"

I sigh annoyed, "define intense sports"

"No dance, no football, no running. Nothing that will take away all of your energy" she says

"what about like musical theatre?" i ask her

"you can do that but do it with caution, you can't dance full out but you can still go along with the movements" she says

"okay, so when am i going home?" i ask

"we are keeping you in for a few days to keep an eye on you" she says

"what!" i shriek

"it's for your own wellbeing" my mom tells me

"i'm not staying here" i say

"yes you are" Jordan says and i flip him off

"Holly!" my mom says with a warning tone and i pause and look at her

"i don't see what the big deal is here! i fainted, people faint all the time!" i say

"it's just precautionary" the doc tells me and i sigh nodding

"alright" i say

"we're gonna go home and get some clothes for you. Do you want anything from the mcdonald's?" mom asks me

"the usual please" i say

"Finn what about you?" she says

"i'm alright Kelly, thanks" he tells her

My mom nods, "i'm getting you something anyway" she adds before leaving the room and we laugh

"i can't believe i'm here again" i say annoyed

"hey, it's not the end of the world. It's just for a few days" he tells me

"do you know how boring it is here?" i ask and he shakes his head
