Lyla's Pov

Davina directed me to the back exit of the church, that way, I could easily slip past the siphon catchers without being spotted.

I'm not sure how long I'll have to look for Kai, at any moment I could be caught, the same for him. I found myself feeling overwhelmed at the thought of kai captured, or worse, by those ruthless witches with no remorse.

Ironic how the Gemini coven banish one of their own because of what he did, which dont get me wrong, I still find difficult to see past, yet, they dont bat an eyelid when they send actual witch killers into his prison world to terminate him. Fucking hypocrisy. And to think my own parents sent me here, knowing who I was being stuck with, all the while being okay with witch killers on my back.

I'm not a person that agrees with vengeance- but I sure as hell will make sure they all pay for this, including my sick excuse of a family. Kai's situation I understand, he killed his siblings, of course his family would be furious enough to make him a prison world.

But me? What the fuck did I do to deserve this? I never did anything wrong, cruel, or even remotely broke any coven rules. My 'crime' was losing my magic. Losing magic is not a fucking crime. So for that, my coven deserve what's coming to them. If, we even get out of here alive. Where the hell are you kai?

Kai's Pov

After their third attempt to cross the threshold the two morons head to the back of the building. They clearly aren't about to give up. The bounty for my head must be high, thanks father dearest. I steady my steps, creeping closer to the church. I figured I'd at least try getting inside, if it's a blocking spell for witches then I'm good to go. Before I make it across the street I see an all too familiar head of black locks.

"Hey! Are you crazy or just feeling like getting an adrenaline rush today?", I call her over as quietly as I can. Ah there it is, the infamous scowl. Is that a new shirt she's wearing?

"Where the fuck were you Kai? You could've been caught!"

"Oh please, let them even try get near me, these hands had blood on them before yano", I wriggle my fingers in her face much to her annoyance.

"Kai I'm serious, we have to get out of here now. Follow me inside, and for God's sake keep your voice down ". Without another word Lyla tugged my arm in direction of the church. I normally prefer to be the leader but damn, this is hot.

I hesitated for a moment before crossing the entrance. One foot and - oh, it actually worked. If there wasn't a certain hot headed girl beside me right now, this place would give me the creeps. "This is your plan? Playing hide out in an old church?", I couldn't help myself, I had to laugh at this unpredictable predicament.

"Can you shut up for once in your life and listen to me. Theres an attic upstairs, and thanks to me, it has a way out of 1994". Uhh, could you say that again?

"Alright, I think I memorized the spell. If it doesn't work, does that mean those catchers will...kill you?", Davina trembled at the thought. I made kai fill her in on everything he knows about the witch killers. The brunette seemed genuinely worried for our lives. Having been through a slaughter fest, she could relate to the feeling of dread we were facing if this plan didn't fall through. I, however, wasn't doubtful of the young witch and her capability of pulling us out of the prison world. Kai on the other hand, let his emotions known.

"If this plan doesn't work, it wont be because of the young Sarah Connors. I bet you anything my father put this little ordeal of false hope together. There's no way she can see us while being in 2015, it just isn't possible, harvest girl or not. No offense ". Of course hes being doubtful, what else should I expect from Kai at this point.
