A Daylight Ride- prolouge

Ok, so this is the sequel to A Daylight Ride, if you haven't read it already, I strongly encourage you to read it. However, if you don't want to read it, no worries, the story will still make sense. The first couple of chapters are going to be mainly about Drew and Amy and how they grew up and raised their baby. The chapters after that will mainly be about Carmen and will be in her perspective, most of the story will be in her perspective with the occasional POV from either Drew, Amy, or a mystery POV whom I won't say who it is :P. Now, who is this Carmen you ask? Well, if you read A Midnight Stroll then you probably have a good idea but if you haven't read it or you're confused then you just have to read this story to find out :P. So, without further ado, I happily present A Daylight Ride!!!

Prologue

I was sitting in a dark cell in I don't know where. I had cried for who knows how long and now I was out of tears. I thought of my mom, dad, and Mark, Mark, I really missed him, I missed all of them, I didn't know what I was going to do. I had lost everything, my friends, family, everything. More tears started to come out of my eyes. Damn, I thought I was done crying, I guess not. I sobbed harder and pulled my head into my knees. I thought I heard a faint noise come from the far side of the room but I ignored it. It was probably a rat or something. I continued to sob and I heard the noise again. I picked my head up and looked around the dark room. There was a shuffling noise from the opposite side of me and I stood up shakily. I saw a figure move in front of me and I gasped

"H-hello?"
