CHAPTER 30

*******DREW'S POV (Carmen's dad)*******

I was in the office doing some stuff for work when I glanced at the clock. It was getting pretty late. I sighed, saved the documents on the computer and snapped my laptop shut. I got up and stretched. I might as well go say goodnight to Carmen and Jace. I was really proud of them, sure they kissed a lot but they said each other and I believed them. Carmen looked at Jace the same way Amy looked at me and Jace looked at Carmen the same way I looked at Amy so I knew they loved each other. I walked over to her door and I heard some strange noises. I opened the door and there was Carmen, shirtless, kissing Jace passionately. One of her legs was around Jace's waist and Jace had his hands close to her butt. What the hell?! Why was her shirt off?! Heck, why was Jace's shirt off! Were they going to have sex! Oh my gosh!! I guess they didn't know I walked in because they continued to make out. I thought I saw Carmen's hands move to the rim of Jace's pajama pants. That was it! now I was angry, I trusted them and here they are making out, on Carmen's bed when Jace was suppose to be sleeping on the couch, shirtless! I cleared my throat and they both jumped up in surprise

"Oh my god!" shouted Carmen

She looked like she was embarrassed. Jace pulled her behind him shielding her body from me. I was beyond pissed

"Carmen, what the hell are you doing!? And Jace, you're supposed to be sleeping on the couch!" I yelled, I couldn't believe they were doing this, I trusted them. Carmen was only fifteen, why would she do this?!

"Dad, we weren't doing anything!" she said trying to cover herself from me

"Then why are your shirts off!" I was boiling with anger

"I...um, well" she stuttered

Oh my gosh! They were going to do it! I'd have to talk to Amy now, I didn't want Jace anywhere near Carmen anymore, I didn't trust them anymore

"Well what!" I screamed. "Jason, get you stuff, your sleeping in the guest room and Carmen, I'll talk to you in the morning!" I said angrily

Jace jumped out of the bed, grabbed some things and rushed past me to the guest room

Carmen pulled her knees to her chest and looked at me, worried

"Carmen, I don't know what you were doing but I'm very disappointed in you" I thought I could trust Carmen, I couldn't believe she would do this. I thought she was smarter than that

"Dad, we weren't doing anything" she screamed, almost on the verge of tears

"I don't want to hear it Carmen, goodnight" I said and slammed the door behind me. I needed to talk to Amy, now, I don't care what Carmen thinks, I wanted Jace out!

I stormed off to my room and threw open the door causing Amy to shoot up from our bed.

"Sorry" I mumbled angrily

"Drew, are you ok?" she asked sleepily

"No Amy, I need to talk to you, now" I said walking over to our bed and sitting down on my side

"Cant it wait to tomorrow?" she wined and laid back on the bed closing her eyes

"No babe, this can't wait"

"Mmm" she mumbled

I took a frustrated sigh. "Carmen and Jace were in bed together"

She shot up and looked at me with wide eyes. "What?! Were they..." she trailed off

"No, but I think they were going to. They both had their shirts off and they were kissing

"Oh my god" she mumbled. "Were they, you know, into it?" she asked nervously

I nodded

"Holy crap" she muttered. "Why would Carmen do something like this?! I thought she was more mature than that, why would she do this?! I trusted her?!" she almost screamed

I sighed. "I know, but what are we going to do. I don't want Jace around Carmen now. She broke our trust"

She sighed sadly. "I know but what would have happened if you didn't walk in, do you think they would have actually done it?" she said grimacing

"I don't know" I said sadly. "I want to trust Carmen but I...I just don't know anymore"

"Well, if that did happen then I think we need to keep Jace away from Carmen. I don't want him around her anymore. What if Jace is the reason Carmen wass doing that? Hat if he was pressuring her?" she said getting worried

"Well, Jace is seventeen; he probably just wants to use Carmen"

"Well maybe but they say they love each other"

"Amy, Carmen's fifteen she doesn't know what love is!"

Amy sighed. "Ok, so what are we going to do about Jace" she said sadly

"I don't know, I mean he seems like a nice boy"

"Yeah but you said yourself Drew, they were in bed together"

"Don't remind me" I said dryly

"So what are we going to do with Jace, we can't leave him out on the streets and I don't want him to be a bad influence on Carmen"

"Well there's always foster homes. I mean, he'll have a bed, food and they'll take good care of him"

"I guess that wouldn't be a bad idea..." she said looking down

"So we'll put him in a foster home?"

"Yeah. We'll take him on Sunday that way he has a day to pack up his things and he and Carmen can say good bye"

"Ok, that sounds good"

"But what about Carmen, she'll be crushed"

"Amy, were doing what's best for Carmen. She may seem angry at first but I'm sure she'll get over it soon"

"Alright Drew" she said and smiled. "I just hope we're doing the right thing"

I pulled her close to me. "Don't worry love, Carmen will thank us one day"

She sighed. "One day"
